Here is the thing, when Mac was picked nearly everyone said it was a good pick. He was touted as the most ready QB in the draft. I am sure you liked the pick also. So why is this suddenly a bad move by Bill when nearly everyone liked the pick ? I guess everyone was wrong about Mac not just Bill. Don't make this about a horrible pick when no one knew that he was terrible. And it isn't as if he has suddenly gotten so much better with the Jacksonville coaches either !!! So Bill used a first rounder on someone who is a bust, it happens. We are not the only team that this has happened to. And that year we needed a QB desperately.

I knew Mac was the least athletic QB I had ever seen suit up in the NFL during his 1st preseason game when he trotted on the field as if he had a stick stuck up his ass.

I commented that week: "Team managers who hold the clipboards at JV football games have more athleticism than this Corker."
I may have said ......"leaky bottomed Corker" .....I can't exactly recall.

Naturally I was universally lampooned by the "Pats can do no wrong" groupthink chorus.
And for three years I posted frequently, too frequently for the groupthink chorus....."Mac possesses zero athletic skills necessary to elevate an NFL offense".

All I will say is that Mac was very difficult to coach. He cried when he got pushed, he wined a lot , he was getting a reputation for being a dirty player etc. The coaches might not have done the best job with him but some players are just not coachable and Mac was one of them. And it is up to the QB coach to develop him and it is up to the head coach to have some input. According to you, it is all Bill's fault, I am sure you would blame him for global warning if you could.. After all he did for this team, your total hatred and disdain for him is mind boggling. Not just you, but Arch, Lance, Boomerb and a few others.

Then why did Bill draft him if he had those traits? And why did Bill hire Patricia and judge to develop his second year QB? I can’t blame those guys because that’s who they are. They were put in a position where they were way out of their element. So Bill takes the L on that one because he hired them.

I blame Bill when he should be blamed and not more than that. Just because he was a good coach it doesn’t mean he did everything right and this occasion isn’t one of them.

Unfortunately the SOS tie breaker is going to go south for the Pats right quick. They close out with .500 Arizona, two games against .833 Buffalo and one vs the .667 Chargers

The SOS already includes those teams because they know they are playing them.

Patriots are in a great spot because many of the games the last few weeks are scheduled division games, so they wash out with 1 team winning and 1 losing.

Since division teams count twice we really want Miami to lose to Texans and 49ers, I think if that happens it pretty much sews up worst SOS.

The basically have a 5-game lead over Carolina for worst SOS.
