Would be good to have Cole Strange back: then Drake can keep his focus on the outsides and not inside also.
Would Strange play Center with Robinson and Onwenu on either side?

Benny Brown have been ok there: put Cole Strange back inside and we should be strong there. Robinson should be first sub off the bench: he has played like a wet behind the ears Rookie at times. Hopefully he's better next year with a season under his belt.

I think Strange might be a great Center with his experience.

Great centers sometimes have more experience at playing the position than does Strange.
Strange's strength and athleticism might be ideal for being a Center.

yes it might, and he should be tried out at center.

It is interesting that Robinson has done so well that we seem to consider him to be a favorite to start in 2025 at a position that he has played for one game, over Strange who has played his pro career at LG.

Robinson might be OK but it looks like the team is forcing their 2024 draft picks into the lineup. They don't want fans to think their 2024 draft sucks when it did. They keep playing Polk too. Why? Polk is a bust. Robinson might be OK but it is hard to tell at this point.

Layden Robinson has been crap. Regardless of where he played. He gave up 4 hurries against Indy in 43 pass blocking plays.

Calling POLK a bust after a dozen games is as stupid as calling Drake Maye Hall of Fame bound. Polk is a 2nd round pick who needs time to develop. Anyone who thought that he was going to come in and be the next Charles Johnson has issues.

Why is it that you think you know better than Coaches who have said that unless the player is Special (Moss, Johnson, etc) it takes 2-3 years for WRs to truly develop. Polk hasn't lived up to his own hype, but calling him a bust is ridiculous.

Polk is a bust. Drake Maye is Hall of Fame bound. You and I agree.

Yes, the team is evaluating 2024 draft choices in a rebuild year. So, sure they are playing rookies while better players sit. Should the team choose to NOT evaluate their rookies?

You are correct that Robinson won't necessarily work out to be a solid contributor. However, IMO, he is likely to have a place on the 2025 OL, perhaps as a starter, perhaps as a backup. This will allow the team to focus on OT and even C.

Given the draft capital expended on Strange, Sow, Robinson, & Jake Andrews, and the big contract given Onwenu - it would be a disappointment if they need to use more draft value on interior OL in 2025.
Onwenu should be the long-term starter at RG. He is a very good guard, at least between adequate C and RT. He is not a great OT.
Hopefully between Strange, Sow, & Robinson there is an answer at LG.
Then between Brown, Jake Andrews, and David Andrews, center should be covered.
Adding another depth piece at guard in free agency makes sense.

Then we hope to get out of the circus of cycling guys like Jordan through practice squad and active roster every week.
I think Jordan has a ways to go to break Jerod Cherry's record of in-season releases and re-acquisitions.

cap: Strange ain't going anywhere he's our Starting LG next year. IF he plays at a good level 5th year option will picked up in 2026.

His 5th-year option needs to be picked-up by May of next year; and that's not - nor should it be - happening.

We shouldn't be signing a guard. We have Onwenu, Robinson, Strange, Sow, Cotten and Robinson. Six is enough. We do need 2 OT's and at least a backup C.

The guy is so bad that the rest of the league could have picked him up for nothing and they all passed.

In my defense, I did say that he was our 2nd-best OLman, not the league's 2nd-best...
