With Wolf - it's fair to give him another year. He was trying to draw guys to the worst team in NFL with NOTHING left here.

Fair to whom? Certainly not to our rookie QB, standing behind the OL with the Worst pass-protection AND run-blocking reputation in the league; and also throwing to a WR group with the Worst separation AND drop rates in the league.

Both Ron Wolf's kid and AL Groh's kid made not only comically bad free-agent and draft-weekend decisions, but PREDICTABLY bad decisions. The saying goes You can't fix stupid? Well you also can't fix bad grocery shoppers; so the best thing to do with them is to cut the cord, ASAP.

14 pages for a player released then signed to the practice squad ... some here bored???

I mean, listen: We talking about the practice squad. Not the game. Not the game. Not the game. We talking about the practice squad Not the game. Not the game that he goes out there and dies for and plays every game like it's his last. Not the game. We talking about the practice squad man.

Trolling/calling me or anyone here a BB hater for the rare criticism of our former HC is peak stupidity and gets mocked …as it should. Shrug.
It's not stupid. You're a troll and hater. And don't forget we all know you are truly a Jets fan.

And no one said Bill got demoted.

You're the king of twisting things.
Taking away his final say on personnel would absolutely be a demotion. That didn’t happen.

No one said this either.

You argue with quotes you make up in your head.

That makes a bit more sense. The first 4 years are obviously quite inexpensive for a starting level QB. That said even if one is selected to a Pro Bowl the transition tag is still less than a FA contract for a good starter, at the very least the team gets cost certainty and retains control over the player for an additional year without dealing with the further ramifications of using tags. So while the 5th year option isn't cheap it could still be seen as a relative bargain under certain circumstances.

Again this is a cap discussion.

I bet the 5th year cap in circumstances of a stud QB is high in comparison to what they would pay if they simply rewrote the contract.

My point is you have 4 years to really benefit from the rookie cap with an elite QB.

I thought the way the team handled Malik Cunningham on/off the roster journey last year was nuts.

I guess it was.

But this is too.

Let's not make a big deal out of it though. They know what they're doing.

Yeah right... That's a good one.

There he goes, probably for good this time.

Hopefully its a good sign for strange

In a weird way it actually makes a little more sense.

They demoted him last week. Apparently they still wanted him as a backup for another week but didn't want to waste a roster spot so they made him a PS call up.

Now with the bye week might we finally see Strange and thus he's now cut. Or just cut after seeing Robinson play (not that it was good).
