McMillan is clearly a better prospect than Harry but don’t rewrite history, in order to fit your narrative. Harry had a consensus late first/early second projection. He lead his draft class (WR group) in explosive plays during his last year at ASU and was second in contested catchesu. It was not at all a surprise that he was drafted at 32. Several good AZ sources stated that the Cardinals were planning to draft him at 33.
As late as 3rd round by “most scouts”? Stop it.
No revisionist history here. There is a huge difference in quality between a 2nd rounder and a 4th overall in the draft. Massive.
Also, I don’t want to hear your bologna statistics about Harry having the most explosive plays when he when up against future unemployed shepherds and vacationing streetcar conductors in a cupcake conference while those other WRs competed in the SEC.
If you really want to draw comparisons, pop in AJ Brown’s college tape and compare it to Harry’s. It’s not even close. AJ Brown rates in the top 3 in college football in past 25 years best YAC ability displayed on film.
I stand by what I said about Harry
N’Keal Harry scouting report:
Harry has some limitations for the NFL due to a lack of speed. He will never be a separation receiver who can get open against NFL cornerbacks. He is going to constantly struggle to find space from man coverage, as the defenders will be able to run with him easily and keep him from getting open. Thus, he won’t be a threat to stretch the field with speed, he will struggle to get open underneath, and he is not explosive enough to get separation via route-running.
If Harry were faster, he would be a first-round pick, but his speed limitations make him more of a second-day prospect and likely a No. 2 receiver in the NFL.
Team sources call Harry not real twitchy or explosive. They worry about how he is not fast in and out of breaks and don’t see suddenness. Some sources said that Harry reminded them of Ole Miss wideout Laquon Treadwell, who is currently headed toward bust status for the Vikings. Some other sources say they are grading Harry on the second day of the 2019 NFL Draft and feel he is akin to Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Devin Funchess. One team source said they originally planned on grading Harry in Round 2, but were lowering him to the third round.
