Oh no. They cut an underperforming player. Just like every other team does.
Still trying to figure out what your persona is here lol. You piss and **** with comments on nearly every thread, and then are the lone person hitting the, “I don’t agree” on anything else where you don’t offer insight. What do you like about any of this stuff?

Then why cut Jordan? If he is “who they have” and he is good enough theoretically to play 96% of the snaps why cut him and not a guy who wasn’t good enough to play ahead of him?
It just all makes no sense.
I DON'T CARE! I CAN'T STAND IT!

I didn't know I needed a persona.

Why is Vederian Lowe playing a similar amount of snaps?

Because that's who they have. Unfortunately.
And we were told in August that we have all the pieces for a good OL and we will be fine.
Since then we’ve stank and keep claiming waiver wire guys, this time in place of a starter.
We will be starting 2 waiver wire OL, someone who wasn’t good enough to beat out a guy we cut (or a 3rd waiver wire guy) Lowe and Onwenu.

How can anyone allow that to happen?

It is not that this a bad move per se, I do however think that this front office and coaching staff have no proper plan going forward. It feels like they ate just cutting players randomly and adding players with little value. It just comes across as get anyone and throw it against the wall and see what sticks !! What exactly are they doing ? I wish they would explain what they are thinking !!

I'm assuming they cut him because they felt they had someone better. It's also possible Strange is closer to being ready to play. Just have to let it play out.

Randomly would be like cutting Maye or something. They cut a guy who was severely underperforming. There's nothing odd about that.

The trade deadline is past so they can't bring in anyone other than street FA's or players on other teams' practice squads.

They cut him after camp. Then made him the starter all season long, and now after playing him 96% of the snaps and starting all 11 games he was healthy for, he suddenly isn’t good enough to be a backup and the cut him to pick up a journeyman backup off the waiver wire.
This crew has no clue how to run a football team.

Does it matter that Jordan was cut? He’s not a very good OL, probably not long for the NFL. Maybe there’s more to it.

Doesn’t belong here, because that comment was made during a SB winning season.
I feel like that comment was made prior to a Super Bowl-winning season.

If they had someone better, why did he play 96% of the snaps?
Why wouldn’t you keep him as a backup if he was one of your 5 best until yesterday, and now you keep guys who couldn’t beat him out.
It just doesn’t make sense.

You can’t tell me you don’t think this team is dysfunctional.

It’s so bad we blew right past benching Bourne to let young guys play, then one week later put him right back out there as a starter.

Strange is a better lineman, so that part is easy. But we won't have a better sense of their reasoning behind this until we hear the reports from practice tomorrow.

During. It was something like another team (Denver?) signed a player and the poster says we suck, we have no good players, we have no chance I don’t care I can’t stand it.

Because he was recovering from off-season surgery.
Huh? Strange isn’t off pup yet. They filled the roster spot with a waiver wire guy.
Why would you cut your starter and keep the players who were sitting behind him?

That was the nice explanation. The more accurate explanation, based on I think what Reiss and Curran alluded to, was that Bourne was making mistakes, which contributed to the reason behind him not being out there. The "playing younger guys" was them doing Bourne a favor.

To your point, saying nothing is better than some of the explanations we've heard this season. But that's an entirely different discussion.

They didn’t cut him to activate Strange, they cut him to claim a waiver wire guy.
They claimed the other Robinson off waivers and he wasn’t good enough to be active but we kept him and signed a guy who got 60 snaps in Miami and cut the guy we put out there for every single snap he was healthy for.
