Only if Higgins checks-out medically.Sign Higgins for 30 million . We saved the cash for him . Doubt anyone else comes close to that .

I would much rather have Will Johnson over Hunter at CB.I hope after the Pats work out WR Tetairo McMillan they fall in love with him. I'm kinda mixed with two way player Travis Hunter.
I’m intrigued by Will JohnsonIf they were to go CB with their 1st Round Pick (or a high pick for CB period), I'd go with The 6'2 200 lb CB out of Michigan (Will Johnson). I recall that we got a stud CB out of Michigan awhile back by the name of Ty Law.
Graham is probably my favorite player in the draft although I hope for a pick on the offense side of the ballI’m intrigued by Will Johnson
Lock down CB
Him and Gonzalez would be scary
If McMillian is rated the same then we go with the need
If Johnson or Mason Graham is related higher draft BPA
Depends how we fare in FA
That was pathetic tackle play on Sunday. Ronnie Stanley is a must get in free agency. He would allow us to be more flexible in draft. There are 3-4 good tackles after Banks and Campbell. BPA at 4, and move back into 1st for RT is possible. After sunday I don't wanna hear about any other position other than Tackle, if there's a way they could trade down a little I'd do it, but in a poor class, thats unlikely.
There is an entire forum for this...
I do not see it with Campbell or Banks as a cornerstone LTWill Campbell is my pick. Need a LT for Drake. Depending on draft position either trade slightly back or if an offer is not there, then just take the LT.
There is no guarantee that another position with a slightly higher grade will work out. LT is clearly the biggest need heading into next off season.
From there just draft BPA.
I think also the lack of high end talent is mind blowing compared to last drafts. If you look at the DE position you would not compare someone to a chase young nick bosa type of prospect. I think cb and DT is the only position where you have blue chip players rn with graham and Johnson/Hunter. Besides that WR QB OT or Edge I would not view them necessarily as top 5-7 players right now. Of course things will change with some electrifying combine performances but at the top I think this years draft seems weaker than prior yearl. Maybe a trade down with a qb needy team would be niceWhat’s really interesting in the current mocks is that the first round looks to be the opposite of last year’s draft, which was heavily weighted for offense, this year’s first round looks like it will be heavy on defense. What that’s doing is pushing some really interesting OL, like Ersery ( late first), Josh Simmons ( early second) and Cameron Williams ( Texas RT) into the late first, early second round.

If Walker Little isn't there as a FA in 2025 for LT (and even if they do get him), the LT class is something that can be addressed in the 2nd and/or 3rd round in the 2025 Draft. If we don't get a solid young #2 CB in FA, then DT's Deone Walker/Mason Graham or CB Will Johnson, or Edge/LB's Abdul Carter, J.T. Tuimoloau, or Mikel Williams would be good 1st Round picks. Not to mention Tet McMillan or Egbuka at WR (even if we get Tee Higgins).I think also the lack of high end talent is mind blowing compared to last drafts. I really like the potential of Will Johnson CB Michigan alongside Gonzo. That would be quite the tandem. Getting a young and Legit FS to go on the back end of the D would also be nice to have. That could have been addressed in 2024 FA, but Wolf whiffed on two good young FS's that didn't break the bank.First it should be noted that EVERY draft pick is a risk, from #1 to #250. No one knows the future. Just like nobody could have guessed that TB would be the GOAT, they can be wrong about the high picks as well, especially at the QB position. AND just like you should not judge a player based on his first year in the league, because no can know for certain if the drive is there to continue to get better EVERY year he plays as a pro.
I think when you are in a weak position such as we are and are likely to be drafting somewhere in the top 8, RAREITY should be the top concern. I'm sorry but I'll always have an issue with drafting WR's that high simply because EVERY year there are going to be at least 10 of them who will be thought of as quality to premium guys. Name the really good WR prospects and there will be JUST as many next year. Now some years are better than others, but there will ALWAYS be a larger number of quality WR's EVERY year in the draft and FA to choose from.
On the other hand, the RAREST of gems come on the OL/DL. Not too many humans on the planet who are 6'5+ and 325+ who have the althletic skills to either defend against ER's who can run a 4.5 forty or can stand up against powerful men who are the same build as they are but have even MORE athletic ability to push that pocket. So, if there is what they think is a surefire quality starter who can step in on day one and make an impact at his position you HAVE to take him over a similar guy at say a WR......imho Remember you can find gems all through the draft conventional draft wisdom tells us there are usually only 8-12 guys in a draft who project to be instant IMPACT players and the 25 draft it looks to be a LOT closer to the 8...or a bit less. After you get past that group the next guys you draft will come from a pool of solid prospects that is about the same from 8-40 roughly. So if we are in a position to grab one of these top tier guys, you, imo, NOT trade down and grab that guy. However, in my ideal scenario we will be drafting high enough that we can drop down just a bit to pick up a first next year and a 2nd day pick in this draft
BTW, I'm coming around to the idea that LOCKDOWN CB's should be included in that rare commodity bracket. EVERY team is locking for one, and the chance to have 2 on your defense can be a remarkable advantage.
I wouldn't be unhappy if we snagged Deone Walker. Dude is 6'6 and 345 lbs, and is fast and quick in addition to being beastly strong. If we snagged him in the 2nd round like we did Barmore, that would be incredible. I doubt he'll make it to the 2nd Round though. But, we absolutely need a stud next to Barmore and White on the DL. That would allow them to use White like a chess piece (sometimes on the Edge in addition to the interior on some plays).I’m down with LT’s, Banks, Milum or DT Mason Graham as priority 1 players that solve problems for this team and its needs immediately.
If they decide to go playmakers they need to be elite talent, CBs Travis Hunter and Will Johnson are legit. I’d also be skeptical but accept rb Ashton Jeanty. Yes, he’s a running back, but the best one I’ve seen since Barkley and the ultimate play maker. Many would cry but he’d give Maye an elite weapon who is a Legitimate threat every time he runs or catches the ball. Jahmyr Gibbs but even more touted coming out of college.
