If he were willing, I think that would be an excellent move. I suggested it a couple of weeks ago, and I haven;'t changed my mind. His development of Drake (if it is his work) has been very good. His in-game OC work is abysmally bad.

The weak schedule to this point was hiding just how bad the team is. They are really really bad. So is the coaching. It’s still no excuse to be seeing this type of dysfunctional.

Looking at the schedule There will be at least 3 more similar blowouts to finish the year and I don’t think any coach’s job should be safe. on the bright side we should cruise to a top 5 pick with a great shot at hunter or tet. Or a stud de/dl, whatever. We have so many needs just get the guy whos the surest thing.

Lots to say about the game specifically but ill only hit on one for now - Jacobs needs to sit for sure, hes going to get maye killed.

I do think this is a situation where you give the GM one more go at it. However, he hasn't given us much at all beyond picking Maye (which, duh) and shipping off Judon at the right time. Unfortunately, that makes it much harder for him. Had he nailed this season, he'd have a lot more leeway for some misses next year.

I disagree. I think we have seen enough of Wolfe's work both in Mayo's time and in his work under Bill. He blows. He blows typhoon level. Fire him, and be quick about it.

OL is the only major hole. Every other hole is a minor one.

I heard Mayo has a cousin that works at UPS that is pretty good at fantasy football and would be the overwhelming favorite at GM.

How are his travel-companion skills? That's the new criterion around Patriots Place. Not a big silo guy, is he?

He does, but he was constantly being put in bad positions by his offense. So you have to take that into account. He did pretty damn good considering what he was dealing with and never quit.

I don't like the late game turnovers though much and thats how you win titles, not turning it over.

Those late turnovers are Maye trying to make something happen, to overcome the suck all around him all by himself. Surround him with a decent line and receivers who can get separation, and the pressure to do it all by himself goes away.

It is possible. I just don't see what he brings to the table as far as coaching ability. But he's going to get another year at least.

The problem is Covington will get fired . Now who will join Mayo. Mayo and wolf both might get fired.

I agree Ian, we need A REAL head coach, a new line, and some weapons for Maye. Right now, this is who the Patriots are. I can’t deal with year 2 of Mayo, he needs to go.

You get him a true #1 WR and a solid OL and those problems will take care of themselves.

the O-line is the only problem currently.. You fix that and the receivers he has on offense are more than enough..

Maybe Maye is pressing so much because he has no trust in the receivers.
