JETS SUCK 2024 EDITION (OFFICIAL): THE SECOND COMING

We're in Year 4 of 'The Cycle'. It never ends.

Conor Orr is a really good writer, and is making a great point about how the next rebuild will be even more difficult than the last.

Because of the frantic pressure to nuke this team into a contender, most of the young, tentpole talent will be astronomically expensive by the time the Jets are ready to sniff a meaningful game. How did it feel to necessitate trading Darrelle Revis? Are you ready for that to happen to Sauce Gardner and Garrett Wilson, too? By the time the Jets move on from Aaron Rodgers, find their next quarterback and get the roster settled, Gardner will come up in a market that’s offering $25 million per season for top cornerback talent. Wilson? Try $35 million for a top wide receiver.

It's worse than that, because he's presuming you can/do find that next quarterback as those guys are coming off their rookie contracts. If you have another swing and miss at QB then you probably end up overpaying the young talent to stay on a bad team. Also he's just highlighting the price to sign the guys, and not highlighting how deep into cap hell Ahole and his buddies have put the team.

The jest have found their savior (drum roll) Curtis Marten

Curtis Martin has been backed by New York Jets legend Damien Woody to take on an executive role and bring the franchise back from the brink.

The Jets have endured a difficult season thus far. Robert Saleh was fired as head coach, and the Jets completed a trade to pair Aaron Rodgers with Davante Adams. The trade failed to pay dividends and, following defeat to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 11 that saw the franchise sink to 3-8, general manager Joe Douglas has followed Saleh out the door.

And when did damien woody become a jete legend?

Are the Jetes going to become Patriots South?

Or have the Patriots already become Jets North?

If the Pats still had Mac with this coaching staff I’d say there’s a good argument to be made. Drake Maye singlehandedly breaks it though, because the Jets haven’t had an equally good QB since Broadway Joe.

Good lord, neither. Give yourself a slap upside the head.

The Jete have had several excellent QBs in recent years that would've been long-term winners with competent coaching staffs.

This is damn hilarious! He goes there and promptly gets injured for lack of strength/conditioning training. Then he has a "comeback" but flops spectacularly, forces them to spend millions on players he wants, gets the HC and GM fired, then plans to jump ship. Errant Fraudgers, the NFL's premier Trojan Horse.

The most Jete thing ever... they simply invent ways to advance the suckage beyond comprehension...

Go ruin....Indy....next?
No, to complete the plan he has to join the Vikings, and his darkness trip this summer will somehow illuminate him to perform well enough again to bring him to the NFC title game. Meanwhile the Jete overdraft their next savior QB and new head coach Rex Ryan gets a tattoo of that QB on his foot.

The ultimate "most Jete thing ever" would be Woody getting officially exposed as a covert agent acting on behalf of the league's other 31 teams.

Eric the Rat next coach of the Jets lmao

It keeps getting better and better!

Mangini hasn’t coached anywhere since 2015. Of course the Jets would believe he still had his fastball (which was never elite in the first place.)

If they’re looking at former coaches, why not see if Bruce Coslet, Rich Kotite, Al Groh or Herm Edwards* are interested?

*It’s possible not all of these people are still alive.
