Great news for Barmore.
I don't care if they win an extra game because he's back - just really happy he can play again. It should mean his chance of starting the season healthy next year is much better.

This seemed to devolve into a 2025 roster discussion, with the Cole Strange update. There were plenty wondering whether Strange would make the roster in 2024, given his multiple benchings.
The Pats could have up to $150M in cap space, so plenty of space for multiple starters.
My view on the LT v. WR priority - there seem to be several starting LT's headed for free agency - as there were multiple X receivers heading into their final year on their rookie contract. All the top receivers but Higgins were re-signed, or traded an re-signed. So all those LT's could eventually re-sign. But as of now, there are several starting LT's potentially available, but only one top receiver, and Pats will have the most cap space.

So the FA priority should be to sign one of those LT's - Ronnie Stanley the star, Garrett Bolles, Cam Robinson.
Pats could chase injured WR Chris Godwin or 30-year old Amari Cooper.
If you're greedy, add Jets CB DJ Reed (he may have an inch on Jones) or taller, older Bills Rasul Douglas.

I would love to splurge on reed to line up with gonzo, and add an impact edge to go with barmore and white up front. This defense would be nasty! Lt and higgins are on my list too.

I like Reed. But he gives me Hobbs vibes like Marcus

Should have signed a good outside corner and FS in the 2024 FA.
They get another shot in FA 2025. No Team should outbid us for any player we want unless they don't want to come here.

This is the best news in awhile. Obviously we don’t know if he will be rusty since he hasn’t played in a long time, but just having his presence back should be a big boost to the entire team.

I keep saying it, most CBs tend to be smaller than we realize. That quick reaction speed doesn't usually come in bigger packages.
Certainly doesn’t help that JC Jackson got away with being listed at 6’1” his entire career even though he was 5’9¾” during the predraft process.

If you sign guys in 2024 and 2025 you have twice as many players to pick from and are more likely to find better fits. It is better to continuously sign a few high price FAs every year.

Even if he’s not 100%, him being in the field will make the other team have to account for him. A plus.

As opposed to melons, we all know why our minds go there. Hell , they seldom leave there. The bountiful nature of melons really can't come to mind too often
Slow down there big fella
Your ICD will be going off anytime soon

He played at 5'5 in games against top WRs.
