I'd even say Sunday is a possibility just seems weird he wouldn't practice yesterday if that was the case but maybe there was one last hurdle that he couldn't speed up by a day.

PF2 we have 4 CB that are 6 foot. Gonzo, Wilson, Austin and bolden. Gonzo is an all pro.. those other guys should be able to handle 3rd and 4th WRs.. Covington knows they suck so Smurf Jones has to cover 6'4 guys.. we need a guy in the category of Sneed or jaire.

Yes! Guys a top 5 edge setting LB he plays DE/LB.. definitely out playing his contract he's been balling all season. Elliss has become a solid player as well.

For someone 5'8" Marcus plays pretty physical.

There aren't that many tall physical corners in the league.

Ty Law and Otis Smith were only 5'11" they played excellent physical football. Albeit different rules.

Depends if they invest in it. They ignored it last off-season can't do that 2 years in a row.

But with Barmore and Bentley back they are better and if you add a significant free agent or a top 15 pick to this D that would be a lot of talent added to a group that needs it.

Don’t remember hearing about the incident but jeeze. Just do what they say man….that could’ve turned real ugly real fast and for what. Glad he’s back though. Should be interesting so long as he does’t take 7 weeks to get up to speed. Him and KW should be interesting.

X was my break out player this season he showed pass rush abilities earlier this season before getting hurt. Injuries have kept him off the field his career.

Marcus is scappy he isn't terrible but doesn't have the ability to play at the level say a Tyrone Poole did who was the same size. Marcus is excellent in the slot wich is his natural position he's not a outside CB. Ideally you want Austin or Wilson there.

I think your right brother.. the pass rush has alot to do with coverage.. I'm rooting for Marcus I want him to take the next step. So far meh...

Sure, we need front six players for the future, but the need for 2025 and 2026 isn't nearly as serious as the above positions

We need to extend Wise who is having a fine year and upgrade Ekuale who is not.

Godchaux, Barmore, Pharms plus Roy or another backup (hopefully a top 5 draftee).

EDGE
White, Jennings plus Ximinez or Kgakoue or an upgrade

ILB
Tavai, Bentley, Ellis, Mapu plus another backup

There are many needs and outside cb is merely one. But in a year where it appears the position is quite rich in both fa and draft, i want to get one now. Same with DL unless they plan to move white inside more with a bigtime addition at edge. Ive mentioned id like to sign a major signing at each of LT/ wr/ cb/ de or dl this year plus depth. The others you mentioned:

Lg/c - lets see what the status of andrews and strange is for next year and then add this if necessary. We also are developing guards in robinson and sow. Rt- developing cadaen wallace and trey Jacobs. Lets see where they are down the stretch. Our line overall at least has the depth right now with the current players. Only onwenu you really want starting but hopefully one of these rt options get there too. The rest are ok backups.

Safety- lets see peppers status for next year. Plus pettus just had himself a game last week. You also have jon jones who you can convert to fs for his last year or 2 if hes back.

Great news for Barmore.
I don't care if they win an extra game because he's back - just really happy he can play again. It should mean his chance of starting the season healthy next year is much better.

This seemed to devolve into a 2025 roster discussion, with the Cole Strange update. There were plenty wondering whether Strange would make the roster in 2024, given his multiple benchings.
The Pats could have up to $150M in cap space, so plenty of space for multiple starters.
My view on the LT v. WR priority - there seem to be several starting LT's headed for free agency - as there were multiple X receivers heading into their final year on their rookie contract. All the top receivers but Higgins were re-signed, or traded an re-signed. So all those LT's could eventually re-sign. But as of now, there are several starting LT's potentially available, but only one top receiver, and Pats will have the most cap space.

So the FA priority should be to sign one of those LT's - Ronnie Stanley the star, Garrett Bolles, Cam Robinson.
Pats could chase injured WR Chris Godwin or 30-year old Amari Cooper.
If you're greedy, add Jets CB DJ Reed (he may have an inch on Jones) or taller, older Bills Rasul Douglas.
