The 3 and whatever Jete?

@Wozzy might minimize the position, but if you win the trenches you will win the game. Somewhere, you need to have The Guy. TE, WR, RB... somewhere, who makes plays when you need it. But if you cannot execute your offense because you line sucks, You end up with nice QB play like yesterday and lose to a team that has 1 win. They have to fix the line, and they need a weapon somewhere on offense. If they fix the line first, the existing weapons, notably Henry, Pop, Boutte, Bourne and maybe Stephenson improve dramatically because the QB has time to raise everyone up.
The issue is that even when our line was okay over the last 5 years, WR still held our offense back. We just keep making excuses to not solve that problem and then complain about it during the year.

In 2020 and last year we said it was the QB. Well we have a QB right now and it's pretty evident that he wasn't the magical solution to every problem on the team. Nobody is afraid of us passing, and it does a disservice to everything else on offense.

I think you can win at a high level if you have a good/great QB and a guy who catches passes who the defense must account for. Brady and Gronk made Jules better, follow me? If you have an absolute stud at TE or WR, then everyone else in the offense excels because that one person has to be accounted for be the defense. The Pats don't have that now, and haven't for some time.

With Osborn and Thornton inactive yesterday....

I think we are trading them....we need to give more reps to Polk and Baker.... Baker can't even return kicks in the NFL nowadays with all the touchbacks...

Pop and his abilities would excel in the slot on any team. Keep him in the slot like buff does with Shakir.. pop is asked to run outside routes that are low percen pass plays. He's a slot intermediate WR. They are wasting him throwing outside.
Why can't pop run the inside rub routes that Ridley ran yesterday . I strongly feel coaching is pulling this team down.

Someone will think so, whether it's true or not.
Yes but this is looking more like a Russel Maryland draft when Dallas traded with us. There are also a lot of 2 win teams. Only game I think we might win is Indy. This team is too sloppy. Can't run the ball and maye is probably going to get injured the way and amount he's running

Agreed. The OL and DL is where it begins. As I've mentioned having to move the LOS on offense and on defense will make a good offense and good defense.. the WRs aren't terrible. They just aren't premiere talent that can change a game. Now add in as you said a "guy".. he allowed for everyone else to have favorable match up on the 3rd and 4th CBs.

I have to agree. The offensive coaching is not allowing this team to allow Drake to maximize thier abilities. When the run was working a good OC adjusts and spreads a defense out to create room underneath.

That's my point. An elite pass catcher who demands coverage and is also going to break open some plays opens everyone else up. We don't have that and frankly, I don't even know if we have any guys that are Julian Edelman level to be elevated in such a way if we did.

Henry is probably the closest to being a guy that would become unleashed if we had a premium pass catcher. Maybe Pop.

Get DK he’s not just a 1 year rental.

He’s the only true number 1 who we can obtain.

Love DK.. I've also said we should look to add slayton at NYG. I think if we can get dabol to be the OC next off season slayton becomes a real possibility.

Julian Edelman has 3 rings being the best WR on this team, he was only ever a #2. Troy Brown has 3 rings, exactly the same.

WR’s are necessary but highly overrated by fans who don’t truly understand football.
They aren't Calvin Johnson but I take offense to you calling them 2s.

Henry would be a top flight guy if he was a complementary piece to a true #1 receiver, regardless of where that #1 receiver lines up. And I include any position who catches passes that the defense has to say "we aren't letting X beat us."

Bingo, but they've got to fix the line first to allow Maye to raise up these middling JAGs they have now.

I would offer a blank check to Ben Johnson or this may not be as popular but I think Joe Brady will be a really good HC.

I would also welcome Mcdaniels back.
His love for New England can’t be denied, and his success as an offensive mind.
With and without Brady.

We need to see what hope we have in the players that we have.

For example, we are finding out a lot about our OL.

OL
1) LOWE has been a pleasant surprise. He should be one of our 3 top OT next year. We will likely add a 4th.
2) JORDAN is just not that good. He could be a backup, but certainly not a starter. He is a terrible run blocker.
2) BROWN should be able to compete to be one of the 3 players who player center, even if he is the #3 on the PS.
3) ROBINSON cannot pass-block, as of now. He will come to camp, could learn and start or could/should be cut.
4) ONWENU should be kept at RG, even if we need to sign 2 RT's.
5) JACOBS should come to camp to compete for a backup OT roster spot, or at worst as a PS player.
6) SOW is a backup at best
7) I don't see THOMAS or SMITH making the 53 or perhaps even in camp.
8) STRANGE should be competing for the LG spot.
9) I forgot WALLACE (easy to do since he has shown nothing, but he is a prospect for another year)

OT: LOWE, ???, ???
LG: STRANGE, ???(JORDAN/SOW)
C: ANDREWS, BROWN, ??? (ANDREWS)
RG: ONWENU, ROBINSON/SOW/???
RT: ???, ???/JACOBS

BOTTOM LINE
We seem to go into camp with 6-7 perhaps expected be roster favorites plus 3-4 upgrades (and 2-3upgrades om 2026)
LOWE, STRANGE, ANDREWS, ONWENU, JACOBS
WALLACE, BROWN

plus SOW, JAKE ANDREWS, ROBINSON, JORDAN
With some luck all will be upgraded with what is left being on the PS.

did that article really say marco Wilson is getting trade interest? Get his ass outta here then!!

Osborn
Thornton
Wilson
Possibly jon jones- be tough losing his leadership but if the pick is decent you should
