Pats front office at the deadline

Yeah dismiss, I just found out it's a fake rumor. Vikings would demand a lot anyway.

Next years wr class unfortunately looks much different than it did a couple weeks back.

Cooper was traded to Buffalo, i don’t know if theres any way they let him hit fa if he does well for them which i think he will.

Godwin and Diggs just had big injuries. You could go after one with a prove it deal but now you would probably have to still do alot more to get quick help for drake even if you land one of them.

A once promising class is now down to basically tee higgins who himself has hammy issues. We might have to look to that top 5 pick for wr help.
If that top 5 pick goes for a WR how does the OL get fixed? Where does our LT come from?

Sorry for not reading the entire thread, but a question:

WHY WERE WE NOT IN ON Cam Robinson and Dionate Johnson?

We could have easily absorbed their salaries or given them an extension before FA in 2025, no?

Maybe they did have an offer in, maybe multiple teams, and the jags gave him the option of where he wanted to go??
Don't know, just a thought. Where would you go? To the Patriots or one of the better teams in the league?

Rd 2 or look to veteran help if anything is available. Alot can change between now and April in terms of whats available in fa for us and who the smart/efficient choice will be at wherever we pick. Maybe the play will be bring in the vet at wr and take the tackle first.

I don't get the love for K Bourne around here: I think he's a mediocre WR who could be easily replaced.
I agree, but could be easily replaced should say under normal circumstances could be easily replaced.

Harry and Polk? It is not going to be easy for this FO to pick a WR to replace Bourne.

Calling Bourne a “leader” kind of gives me the feeling I’d get if I left my 5 year old in charge of babysitting my 3 year old.

He’s the only ne on that room telling the young guys they need to step up and be professionals.

Polk seemed less of headcase when Bourne wasn't around. Trade him.

Depends on what they do in free agency and what happens the rest of the season at the position. They could also have their heart set on a 2nd round talent they believe in.

Hunter just shut down McMillan pretty much for the 2nd year in a row last week. Passing on a generational talent would be foolish. If you can draft Champ Bailey you do it and don’t think twice. Not that they are going to get the number 1 pick.

I’m all about the LT and agree it should be the number 1 priority of the team. However, certainly not drafting one just because they are a LT. And yes, you mentioned that “if they are comparable” then go with the LT. I agree with that.

But this team can’t afford to miss. If the LT class ends up being like the 23 draft it would be a big blow. Paris Johnson, Skoranksi, Wright and Jones so far have been just guards and rts. Can’t have that. I’ll take a playmaker every day.

I can’t really argue with that as for the most part I believe in taking the best player, but there’s also context involved in the decision. QB is obviously one situation where you have to get your franchise player, and even if a Champ Bailey is there, but you believe the QB isvfranchise caliber then you have to go QB, as you will never win without that player. But there’s also the 23’Draft, where they needed a LT, but the class sucked, and they made the right decision to go best player and Gonzalez now looks like he will be a shutdown corner., and Belichick made the right move by passing on the tackles and taking the best player.

Once again LT is the biggest need, but how they grade out and who else is on the board when they pick will be major factors. And if they aren’t in the top 5 then they will have to consider a guy like Will Johnson, who is another high quality corner, and would give them the best young corner pairing in football. So overall I agree with you that the best way to build a great team is by taking the best player available, especially when you aren’t a contender, so filling a need immediately is not as important.

What about finding a person who can draft a WR?

Lure someone away from the Steelers who obviously know how to identify that position. Calvin Austin looks like another gem.

Tampa has had Evans and Goodwin forever. Seattle has had DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett what seems like decades.
Patten, givens, branch, Julian, Mitchell, Myers, and pop. That's 7 WRs in 2 decades that I can recall whom we're drafted who worked out. That's Pathetic! Let's see what Boutte, Polk and baker's end up becoming.

Same Draft we Reached for Tyquan is in the Second.

He’s the Justin Ramos of the Justin Ramoses

I really hope some Team come asking him: we know which WR's have a rapport with Maye.

So Uche sits this week due to trade rumors? Soooo, our former 26 year old second round pick sits down so we can get an additional seventh rounder? Well, if there was *any* doubt left that the front office “is soft”, you can disregard it. Speaking of “former” second rounders, I see 24 year old T.T. may be “active” this week in the hopes we can get maybe a “ future” seventh rounder. T.T. gets his chance while this year’s 22 year old second rounder, like Allstate Insurance, known for his “good hands ”, is held out so we can maintain his future late round “value”. Did I mention second round draft pick, Kyle Dugger is also injured and out this week though no trade rumors involved since he’s too valuable being worth a fourth round pick. Unless/until we start having good drafts again, how ‘bout we trade out of the second round since apparently there is some kind of a jinx in play when we select in this round!
Grab him with a 2nd rounder and then trade him for a 6th or 7th rounder. That was a typical Belipick move and why the roster is in the ****ter.

Jordan Addison is a Vikings 1st round BUST.

He is a 5 - 11 shrimp too. When the Patriots really need match up weapons that are 6 foot plus, Wolfie goes status quo.
