Aaron Rodgers has a pretty good stat line for today, but he was downright mediocre. He got bailed out on bad throws on crucial downs by PI calls, some legit and others not so much. He is unable to take credit for his own poor play. So I am assuming that someone is going to be made the fall guy for his mistakes.
Well, Captain Comeback or the Comeback Kid, whatever some fool wanted to call him, failed once again to bring his team back. This time it was the Jets.

What an amazing game! Drake looks really good ... the hit didn't look that bad so hopefully he is back soon. Who kidnapped and replaced Jacoby Brissett? He was slinging and looked like a new man! The under-manned defense played their asses off and came up big. Marcus Jones punt return sets up the win. Aaron Rodgers is cooked and the Jets are in full collapse mode. What a day!

Also he did not get up quickly ... like he started then stopped ... definitely his bell got rung.
Next time hopefully he slides head lower.
Also want to see him in the guardian cap from now on. Don't care how it looks - if the reduction in concussions is even just a few percentage points - worth it for both the multi-million dollar investment and more importantly the young kid's total future.

All the signs of disaster not withstanding...
Was this the most exciting finish since last years win vsBUF? (which was also the last home win - exactly 1 year ago)
Wild
I liked it so much I decided to go out to a party...

Imho, Maye should've given himself up a split second earlier. When the defender launched himself, Maye hadn't really entered into his slide. I can understand why it wasn't a penalty.

Helmet to helmet has nothing to do with the QB sliding. It's a safety issue that the refs are supposed to call anywhere on the field with any player, not just a QB.

Those cant be REAL jest fans, their to calm, no crazy rants
Most Jets fans have been beaten down to mush. Some of the kids aren't there yet but give them time.

One good thing even in losses we are building a decent back end of the roster ... except WR of course.

And as a fan of old school football I loved loved loved Sidy Sow at FB. We really could use a decent H-Back.

There’s something hilarious about Geno Smith and Sam Darnold both looking great this season elsewhere while the Jets trade for a literal HOF QB and build a super team around him and somehow still ruin him regardless at age 40

Its sad jest insider shut down those guys were really nuts

Looks pretty easy to me for a team that’s an actual SB contender. Only the Texans (on a short week) and Buffalo are hard, the rest are very winnable for a SB contender. Are the Jets that though?
They’re supposed to be, but obviously aren’t. They have a lot of organizational problems and it’s Rodgers’ fault. Firing Saleh made zero sense and that decision is certainly paying dividends.

I think despite this they still have the talent enough to be at least a wild card team, but this slate of games and a current 2-6 record makes that difficult to see happening. If they lose this upcoming week to go to 2-7 they’d basically need to win out the rest of the year, 1 loss max, to feel fairly secure about getting a wild card spot. I don’t think the locker room will feel very jolly about that prospect, especially with no HC, and would implode instead.

Why would that matter with a helmet to helmet hit?

Wonder what Rich Eisen is gonna have to say about this one. He's a die hard Jete fan.
Also he’s married to a Pats fan, his wife is from Mass.

JB doing okay in relief is what a vet backup is supposed to do. (and what JB has always been best at)
But, Mayo's comments made me think it's almost certain Maye is back next week.
If it was a coaches decision and not the independent neurological guy - then we should be good.
And if our WR's spend more time working the jugs machine than their mouths this week, we could see improvement and 3-6
