Until we draft a Left Tackle and sign a #1 receiver, this is what we’re gonna get I’m afraid. This team still seems to be far different than what everyone expected though. We are competitive, which I wasn’t expecting

I’m chalking this up to a Thursday night game, with a less talented team, with some key injuries, on the road against a division opponent who’s trying to make a statement. That said, I’m just really disappointed in the defense as a whole tonight, so many breakdowns. Missed tackles, bad angles, biting on fakes. Things that normally don’t happen. Let’s hope this gets better. Some individual guys like White and Gonzo (despite his slip one time) are still shining, but just very, very sloppy play overall

I think you are 100% correct.
This was a bad setup for this team, probably will be their worst game of the year.
Not unexpected in this spot but unfortunate they couldn’t exceed expectations

The defense is already a shell of what it was last year. Key losses, no real additions and paper thin depth.

Right, Barmore and Bentley being out are killers. Our best overall defender and two of the 3 big guys in the run game. That doesn’t help at all either. You’re right that the depth isn’t what it had been in the past to help soften the blow.
