Yeah.. I'm not sure that Belichick would go for that. Especially since he was the Head Coach of that team before their move and he was told mid-season that he wasn't going with them.

People forget about the bad blood that is there.

Mod Edit: Link to the original speculation:

I'm not so sure about that. Modell sold the franchise 20 years ago. It's not like the JEST, where Woody Johnson is still the owner.

I never had the impression that BB had an issue with Woody Johnson, his napkin was written to Steve Gutman who was Leon Hess’ lackey held over by Woody, the bad blood was towards Parcells and who tried to force the situation onto BB. All I’ve seen indicates to me that he and Parcells have established a good relationship, more as equals than as boss and employee

Gotta love this stuff. SI referencing speculation from some Fanside schmuck. By the end of the day it'll be a lead story on BSPN.
What a time to be alive.

It's Johnson. He's been the one constant over the decades. He's telling Mangini not to take the job in 2006, Gutman was long gone.

There is no bad blood it’s an entirely different ownership.

Plus with the Jetes he’d have a chance to beat the Patriots twice a season.

Ravens wouldn’t be as frequent a matchup, but proximity to Annapolis would likely be attractive. I can’t see him being as happy in a landlocked city like Atlanta as he’d be closer to wherever his boat is moored.

I'd rather see him go to a real contender and a real QB - not a RB moonlighting as a QB.

This doesn't belong in the main forum. Can the mods please give Belichick the Brady treatment?

It’s definitely the Jets organization, I’ve heard interviews on several Pats players, when they were asked that question they said oh ya I notice a difference in Bill when it’s Jets week.

Of course it was. It was the change in ownership that precipitated Belichick's antipathy. He was convinced Parcells was pulling a fast one to screw Kraft. The fear was Parcells would be back on the sidelines before camp and Belichick would miss the opportunity he thought highly of in New England. Belichick had a high opinion of Hess but was sure Johnson would let it all happen

"Due to the various uncertainties surrounding my position as it relates to the team's new ownership, I've decided to resign as the head coach of the Jets,"

And that wasn't too long after Tuna **** persuaded Curtis Martin to jump ship along with him.
If BB goes to the Jests I'll be shocked. If he goes to the Ratbirds I'll be pissed.

One other thing. Any team interested in bringing Bill in should look at his record without Brady.

It will be the NY Giants. They are staring down at 0 - 4. next @ Browns and then Cowboys.

Time to pull the plug on Daboll and the GM deserves to fired for giving Danny Jones that contract.

And his team’s roster when he left.

BB goes to the giants and ends up with Mac again…ZIIIIING!!!

Edit: wins several more SBS with him.

How do we get Bill to the Jete on a Ratbirds story?

Bill's not going to the Jete.
