How do we think Brady's going to do?

If it was anyone but Tom Brady, then no one would be talking about it. He isn't doing great, he isn't doing poorly.... just run o' the mill color commentary.

Now, for $37.5 MM Fox might be expecting a bit more but who knows....
Yeah what I expected stiffness lol
But his predictions have been spot on

He's getting better as the game goes along.

super-prepared, so expect no screw-ups

but yeah, kinda bland so far

He’ll get better with each game. There was a story today stating that after the season approval will be given for him to become a minority owner of the Raiders.

If that happens does that mean he will have to stop the announcing gig?

He won't be able to call any Raiders games. For me, the gold standard (and I only recently discovered how wonderful he was thanks to old Patriots recordings) of former players turned color commentators is probably Don Meredith.

He is doing fine. He is not particularly entertaining, but that's fine.

He should be jumping up and down, excited like a monkey at every tackle and making sophomoric jokes in lieu of any uncomfortable silence. What's wrong with him?

He’s doing well. Will be interesting to compare his first and last game this year

No, but he has some very strict rules imposed by the League he has to follow (I believe those rules are already in place).

True story here. My Aunt dated Dandy Don. No I never met him. She lived in Texas while we were up in Mass.

I don't see why he needs a stake in the Raiders. Especially considering the limitations it will put on him as a broadcaster.

Because it will be worth a **** ton of money in the future, a recession-proof investment?
It's not like FOX is going to stop paying him either way.

He's not bad, kind of vanilla, as he did with football, he'll get better.

He said the same thing over and over when I listened.

Is third and long bad?

I don't see why he needs to be a broadcaster, it seems kind of beneath him and he certainly doesn't need the dough. Plus, it's not an easy gig with all the travel involved.

Money. NFL used to make millionaires... now it makes billionaires

only thing he can't do is attend the weekly team strategy meetings the broadcasters have with the teams... big deal, the fox staff just fills him in later

Who dat nation, you can turn out the lights.

TB12: "Nice play right there."
(awkward pause, waiting for him the say something insightful)

"Thanks, Tom. Ok....It's 1st and 10 Dallas, on their own 48 yard line."

(fictional interaction, but also a fairly accurate representation of his initial performance)

Brady was the opposite of what I expected -pretty smooth delivery but very little insight.
