Higgins not at practice today after popping up on the injury report the other day. If he can’t to, Chase limited snap count, game could get interesting for sure.

So you would rather play with the tackle problem when Maye is starting?
I have changed my tune on that they're just too bad there at the moment. We would break Maye like we did Mac this OL is not for a Rookie QB: now I'm getting the gist of Mayo's depressing pressers.

Dream on we are getting routed 35-6 with or without we are going struggle to score. Bengals D is going Dominate our pathetic OL.

They aren’t scoring 35 or close to it without Higgins and a limited chase, dream on

I think the evidence has shown that Joshy schemed up Mac Jones' rookie year, the rest of the NFL had figured him out by December.

In other words, Mac was already broken - lack of talent just exacerbated it over time.

Burrow's going to be able to make dinner in the pocket. Where is the Patriots pass rush coming from? Where's the rush defense coming from? Even if Christian Gonzalez is the 2nd coming of Deion Sanders (he's not), even he can't cover for 6+ seconds.

This is such a weird take to me.
Are we just going to keep Drake Maye in bubble wrap for 4 years and pick up his option?
It's not like this line is going to get any better at any point this season, there's no left tackle.
I agree.

It seems too many people want to sit him the whole year base solely on OL play. They want to tank so we can get the best LT next year. But what if the LT isn't ready to play his rookie year or gets hurt do we have to sit Maye the whole year again?

Maye can't be sat the whole year just because the OL isn't talented enough. However, he must sit for a few games while the OL works out who's playing and gets whoever that may be in synch. Maye needs to be protected from the early season Keystone Kops instability. Once everyone else has their sea legs, so to speak, then insert Maye.

Higgins is officially listed as doubtful and chase is questionable. I don’t see why chase wouldn’t play as hes been practicing all week so he’s clearly back with the team now. Just remains to be seen how much and how effectively. Likely no Higgins

We have no shot with Brissett at QB

Different teams obviously, so I'm definitely not predicting a win, but Brissett beat this Cincy team two years ago 32-13 with a QB rating of 133.

He dd have Odell Beckham, Daniel Ndoku and Nick Chubb, as well as an NFL offensive line at the time.

Odell didn't play in 2022, but he had Amari Cooper, so just swap them one for one. It's all fair points, and like I said, I'm not predicting a win. Just arguing that statements like "no chance with Jacoby" is an oversimplification. There are other limiting factors.

I wholeheartedly agree with this. Jacoby Brissett isn't going to be 'the problem'.
