I keep confusing to Dobson

Sam, you really don’t need to use multiple usernames. We get that you are unfailingly miserable. I’m sure it brightens your day to try and make everyone else as miserable as you are, but we really don’t need it every day, week after week, month after month……….Maybe you could take up pickleball?

Of course he is pocketing it. Humor me and explain again how he is not, because I’ve seen no good argument. If it’s the “must spend 89%” argument the math says he can be 50 mill under for each of the next 3 years and satisfy that requirement.
Because the only way he can actually pocket the money is to not roll over excess salary cap dollars. And every year that the league has allowed teams to roll over excess cap space by submitting a letter, the Patriots have rolled over 100% of the excess. And even in the days when teams had to manipulate incentives to do carry overs, they still rolled over almost all they could. [They would end up like $50,000 short or something.]

Barmore had one good year.
He's been a lot better than his stats might indicate. He was pulling double teams at a rate on par with Aaron Donald as a rookie.

It automatically rolls over. He still pockets what he didn’t spend.
They rolled over money from last year and didn’t spend it.
Rolling it over doesn’t mean you spend it.

You're right and once again Andy is the poster child for Dunning-Kruger with this BS

Unspent cap funds do NOT "automatically" roll over. In order to carry over unspent salary cap a team must notify the league no later than 4 pm EST the day after their regular season ends. In order to "pocket" any unspent cap the team would have to NOT roll it over. Once rolled over it becomes part of the team's cap # in the new league year and is subject to the same rules and procedures as all cap funds, meaning once tolled forward it can't subsequently be exempted from cap accounting and "pocketed."

While carrying over cap doesn't guarantee it will be spent the following year it does guarantee it can't go under the owners mattress

First, you should never judge someone based on what is said on an anonymous message board. I welcome all posters who are respectable and enjoy having a discussion. You could've simply responded to my posts and suggest why I should see it differently. But the personal attacks are completely unnecessary.

I don't mind anyone that disagrees with what I have to say. In fact, I encourage it because the board would be boring if we all agreed on everything. However, the problem I continually see is that there's a few posters that get personal because they read something that upsets them. You do have a really cool option with posts you don't like: you can use with your mouse and scroll past it.

Fair enough.
