Collaboration when senior shareholders are pushing an agenda opposite of the senior managers is a disaster. Infighting is never a good thing.
I've been one of the most positive posters here regarding the new regimes moves in the offseason and their outlook for 2024.
Nobody used collaboration as a pejorative. There is peace and harmony now, the last few years not so much.
Yes your hero the smurf looked like that against the worst defense in the league. Bill also has looked like that ever since Brady left.
I think when you have 31 coaches, the collaboration station is a great nickname... but yeah, can't wait for real football."Nobody used collaboration as a pejorative"
I think the term "Collaboration" was used at Mayo's first press conference and perhaps rightly or wrongly I read some negativity into your using the term "Collaboration Station" in your post of 10:26 AM this morning.
Maybe the slack time waiting for the start of training camp has left us with just too many dead horses to beat. I don't know. In any event, I for one am soooooooo waiting for the start of training camp. Rookies report on Friday and the rest of the team next week!
I agree with you in that it's a team game and I'm just trying to stay as positive as possible about the Patriots as a whole. This has not been easy with the failures of our QB's since Brady left. And although I don't post that much anymore, I've always defended BB in the past. However, our offense became a laughing stock and something had to be done and FBOW, I'm glad that big changes were made. . .
Stop spamming the board.Yes your hero the smurf looked like that against the worst defense in the league. Bill also has looked like that ever since Brady left.
Team Bill in shambles. YikesStop spamming the board.
You telling us the Pat's D was bad at stopping the run In 2023 when they ranked #1 in the entire NFL in fewest yards per attempt and 4th in the entire NFL in total rushing yards despite having the 9th most attempts against them...Team Bill in shambles. Yikes
Ok boxscore jockey. I counted 4 games that they lost last season because their run defense was porous and couldn't get a stop when they needed one. Is that a great run defense? Same problem as you boxscore jockeys talking up the #2 iN PoIntZ defense in 2021. They sucked too. Couldn't hang with good offenses. You telling us the Pat's D was bad at stopping the run In 2023 when they ranked #1 in the entire NFL in fewest yards per rushing attempt and 4th in the entire NFL in total rushing yards despite having the 9th most attempts against them...
This proves you're a crayon eater... but keep going.

Weird hill to die on. It's not hard to admit that the whole team sucked cause um well they did. 4-13 says all that needs to be said.
T Thornton really put some pounds on would like to see how how plays with it.

the Pats played zero top 5 rushing teams in 2023. 3 games against the top 10 and all 3 are games that I am referring to. Also the Jets in the finale. I would hope playing the majority of the schedule vs teams that can’t run the ball well that the numbers are in their favor. That doesn’t mean theyre good.and for you, the ends of these four games negate the other 14 games and the first parts of these three games.

For you, it doesn't matter that teams averaged fewer yard per carry against us than against any other team. How does a team that is run against more than 22 other teams end up 4th lowest in total running yards allowed.

Perhaps we should stop using stats at all and totally rely on the personal opinions of posters.

Your analysis and conclusion regarding the 2023 run Defense is as bad as any analysis I can remember.
Our Offense was so bad that our Defense was on the field a lot. And when other teams simply ran against us over and over, we were still top ten in TOTAL YARDS AGAINST. That is the mark of a truly great Defense.

As far as 2024, you have little to look forward to regarding our run Defense. It is very unlikely to be better than last year.
I do agree that the Defense was not as good as their 2023 stats. However, they were still a good Defense and solid against the run. Bringing back all the injured should move then into the top 10 (perhaps even the top 5 if all those in contract discussions actually play this year). This is especially true if we add a veteran in the secondary.the Pats played zero top 5 rushing teams in 2023. 3 games against the top 10 and all 3 are games that I am referring to. Yes the offense was trash last season but that doesn’t mean the defense has a legit excuse why they can’t consistently get a stop when they need one. They are nowhere near “great”. If they were they could stop an elite offense sometime. Hasn’t happened in a while.

The QB that gives the team the best chance to win belongs out there. If the coaches think it's 20 year old Maye then he belongs there. You are talking about experienced quarterbacks, putting Maye out there before they show they can handle would be idiotic. He’s 20 years old, has mechanics and an offense to figure out, and they have a ****ty OL, at least until they prove otherwise. The desire to rush him out there is a really bad idea.
It'll be a great sign if the Pats start Maye right away. That'll mean that the Pats have a QB.Peyton Manning said his first year was invaluable to his learning process, he needed to play despite having a horrible team.
I get if you're sitting behind Aaron Rodgers for a year but sitting behind Jacoby?
Maye mechanics will be fine, he'll figure it out fast. That's such an overblown issue for him. He'll know the offense well enough, the guys bright.
I get what you are saying on a normal NFL rookie QB, I'm 100% convinced Maye is not a normal NFL rookie.
I guess I've seen enough of him to know he is special, and any issue he has from inexperience are more than made up for by superior talent.
Herbert started for a team coming off 5-11, was fine.
Chiefs may have lost a Super Bowl chance not playing Mahomes year 1.
Nobody needed more work than Allen and he played 11 games year 1.
SO, if the line "sucks" (because Jacoby sucks) we just sit him the whole year? How many games is it OK to play him if the O line has an issue all year? If it's more than zero than it needs to be 17.
I really can't wait until training camp, dude is going to blow Jacoby away and make them start him.
We're going to find out and that's exciting. If he works out it'll be the Pats first real QB since Brady. The only worry I'll have then will be when they play Pittsburgh. They like to try and end QB's careers. It worked with Palmer but not BradyWas Maye known as the most cerebral out of the top 3 qbs? I’ve always heard about him being the least experienced and needing the most work but alot of pitt fans (believe pitt is in unc’s conference) around here have mentioned hes a heady qb.
Absolutely. The collaboration as Curran mentioned had more to do with the drafting.. Bill was still the GM and had full control of everything basically the roster, the staff. I know we still have games to play and time will tell.. but I like the vibe and aurua around the team. I expect Drake to start!People are gonna take their shots no matter what… Everyone knows this is how things have always worked. Maybe a little different without Vader on top of it all…
