Aiyuk officially requests trade

The thing that impresses me about Aiyuk is his age he's already played Four years and is just 26. Wozzy the cheap game is over too much money to be made and the Cap keeps going up. Getting a player for cheap nowadays means hitting consistently in the Draft if not Pay up in FA. I think Wolf is going to do everything to Ensure Maye's success IF Maye sucks it won't be because of Wolf he won't make that BB mistake and ruin a Young QB by surrounding him with mediocrity.
Mac had a great team around him in 2021 and was still mediocre.. nothing was changing that.

I’d pay through the nose for Randy Moss or Tyreek Hill, is Aiyuk either one of those guys? No, not even close…

Aiyuk on a lesser offense is putting up 800-900 yards per season. He’s in a great position in San Fran, he gets peppered with targets because defenses are accounting for Deebo, Kittle and CMC out of the backfield. The scheme is exceptional, Shanahan is an artist… is Van Pelt?

Watch if San Fran can find some sucker to take him off their hands, they’ll replace Aiyuk with the rookie people say they overdrafted this year and the Pearsall will post similar numbers.

You people are attributing to great skill what is easily explained away by great situation and opportunity. He’s not that talented.

Knowing he would get his $$$$$$$$ plus being our #1 and playing with a Young QB. Also we have a Better Defense: really tough choice between us and Washington.

Daniel’s is his boy which maybe the whole reason he is doing this, but maybe San Fran traded him to us and he learns how awesome the Drake is.

I hear you bottom line is we have reached out multiple times about Aiyuk so our front office, coaches don’t agree with this take.

Aiyuk has been available since they drafted his replacement… where is the trade?

31 other teams agree…

One of the Best Route Runners in the game is not that talented ok.

Show me with the Raiders or Washington QB’s throwing him the ball.

Of course you pointed out the least quantifiable attribute of his… even your magical words couldn’t transform his 4.5 speed into “fast” or make his 6’1” height stretch to 6’4.”

If they didn’t draft two WRs I’d say it’s a real possibility, but gotta let those dudes play and see what they’re about before making a move like this.

I want them to trade for a legit 1 WR, but I think they’ll wait until next offseason to do so.

Don’t take snaps away from a young developing player.

Sign Chris Godwin next offseason, or wait for one of these divas like Devante Adams to push their way out of their current situation. Absorbing a contract, even a large one like his, with the Raiders footing most of the bill would be ideal.

I’m wishing for DK, man that would be awesome.

So let me get this straight, don't take snaps away from a young developing player until next year.

I think a few 2nd + 4th/5th for BA would be fair on both sides. I've been banging this drum for a while now. I have no problem going into the year with the young guys but Aiyuk is a man/coverage beater. Hes extremely efficient and productive. In his prime. Can separate, win outside/deep. One of the better rr and blockers at his position. I mean if it's a 2nd/5th + 25-28 per. You won't find a better option in next years class. Our 1st is off the table unless it's Myles Garrett or someone on that god-tier. Aiyuk is very much worthy of a 2nd though

From another thread ...

"He caught 14 of 20 passes thrown both outside the numbers and 15-plus air yards last season, the best rate (70%) of any player in the last four seasons (min. 20 targets)" - cbs

"No qualifying receiver (at least 50 catches total over the last two seasons) has a higher Success Rate (receptions of at least 40% of yards required on first down, at least 60% of yards required on second down, and 100% of required yards on third or fourth down, divided by targets) than Aiyuk, and only Rashid Shaheed of the New Orleans Saints (11.1) has a higher Yards per Target average over the last two seasons than Aiyuk’s 10.8. And Aiyuk’s catch rate of 69.9% is unusually high for a guy with so many deep targets" - Doug Farrar

Y/R 17.9 (2nd)

1342 (7th) - - - (Out of the top 10 in rec yards he had at least 27 less than the next wr)

1st down % (1st)

YPR (2nd or 3rd I know its Hill, Nico? than Aiyuk or Aiyuk is 2nd) - - - (PFF - In the past 10 years, only six receivers have hit 3.0 yards per route run over a season, Aiyuk being one of them)

***side note***
It's well known Aiyuk was dealing with a core injury when he ran the 40. It's not really a big negative in context. Also BA has an incredible wingspan at 80". Hardly just a guy that runs a "4.5"

---ASTB--- Give Aiyuk more targets and you have a more explosive player and probably still more efficient. Plus Aiyuk is more of an outside threat. He's very as good or better than ASTB.

ASTB had 164 targets this past year for 1515 10 TD 12.7 Y/R
72.6%

22 - 146 targets - 1161 - 6 TD - 10.0 Y/R
72.6%

BA
23 - 105 targets - 1342 - 7 TD - 17.9 Y/R
71.4% catch rate

22 - 114 targets - 1015 - 8 TD - 13.0 Y/R - 68.4 catch rate

Again I never suggested parting with our 25 1st. It's just pretty clear Aiyuk has joined the 1B cast of players."

Hahaha… they have Garrett Wilson, signed Mike Wilson, overpaid Allen Lazard and drafted Malachi Corley. Let them spend. They are fun to watch implode every season, few things in football brings me such joy.
I wish we had an offense that would have would have done anything last few seasons. Cecil the turtle could have beaten us the the end zone. The 50/50 club last season. Can't get past the 50 Yard line.

Drake says.. gawwwww leeeee PatsFan2... you making me blush..

@PatsFan2
Aiyuk is nearly off the charts.

Pats will be used as leverage again - Aiyuk will be back with the 9ers.
