New season ticket holder here. After last season, I imagine there will be a lot of us.

I had my name on the waiting list for about 10 years but pulled it off when they killed the Patriots Ticket Exchange and opened ticket re-sales to everyone. At that point, it wasn't worth being on the list as I was still ~20 years away from getting tickets.

Fast forward to now and apparently the Patriots offer a "Pass It On" program, which allows current season ticket holders to transfer their account to friends and family. A good friend of mine decided he no longer wanted his tickets so he offered them to me. We applied for the transfer and I'm now sitting in Section 205 for the 2024/25 season.

As much as I'm looking forward to this, I think my daughter is even happier. She really cannot wait. We've probably gone to close to 120 games together over the past 22 years and always had a blast... well, except for that time it was so cold tailgating that our stove wouldn't light.

Our first "game" in our new seats is June 12th - Tom Brady Night.
Congratulations!! !!! I’m very jealous …..but live in FL now so season tickets aren’t in my future now anyways!!! But hope you, your daughter and family have a blast!

Gotta ask.....
Why should friends of a retiring season ticket holder be able to jump ahead of the tens of thousands on the waiting list?
Good deal for the OP
Terrible deal for the waiting list suckers

Because that's how it worked before the pass it on anyway. You just kept paying the bill regardless of whose name was on the account now they just let you switch the name on the account to pass it on.

Who told you that? I've seen people from Feb '04 getting off the list this year. They've been working through about 1-2 months a year for a while.
I just saw on another message board that someone from Feb '04 got theirs last week. Since we've been waiting since '05 I'm worries this might not be our year.

There's only ten games so it's not that bad per seat. The numbers you're looking for are on the far right.
JFC...back before the 93 season when we got our ST in section 223....they were $23/game, $230 for the whole season....

I agree that you shouldn't be able to just pick anyone. There are a lot of legitimate cases where people split a set of season tickets and should be allowed to transfer them. But vetting that is pretty much impossible. No way to enforce it, so this is what we get.

How does being on the waiting list make you a "sucker"? What else are you supposed to do?

Apparently he thinks you should find someone giving up their tickets on your own and cut the line

Alright I will just camp outside of Gillette every Sunday and ask each of the 68,000 people whether they want to unload theirs lol.

Parking is different... wow... very different. I guess it started last year?

So now the lots near the stadium (for me Lots 3A & 3B) are only available if you pre-buy the entire season for $250. If you don't do that, you're either in a private lot or across Route 1, where all of the parking is now free. Parking in the delayed lot (locking you in until 75 minutes after the game) gets you a $50 gift card, so they actually pay you to park there.

I pre-bought in Lot 3A since it's closest to my seats and I don't feel like hiking 3 miles to my car after a game.

When you buy the season pass, they give you separate "tickets" for each game and it has a Row & "Seat" number on it. I guess that's how they'll know when it sells out.

Damn...congrats....anyone know what the timeframe looks like if someone gets on the list now? Don't want to join the wait if I'm going to be dead by the time it may happen.... ><

I've been on the waitlist for 12 years. I expect my grandchildren will be able to tell their grandchildren about how their great-great grand pappy got on the list and that is why there's a notification in their VR implant about "season ticket availability". I hope they enjoy the seats.

Man I commend you for your dedication. Your great great great great grandkids will really enjoy watching their now “New New England Minus CT Patriots”.

Demand is changing though. I sold 2 games I could go to over the summer last year for about 175% of face value. This year I have 4 chargers seats in the lower bowl and no one will pay face value. That's going to make some holders give up their seats. There are a lot of people out there that sold more than half, or even all their tix, and they are losing a lot of money this year.

The Chargers game is December 29th, which is likely to be very cold. That game & the Bills game the following week (1/5/25) will be very hard to sell now. Those late-season have always been harder to sell before the season starts. No one wants to go to those games if they are meaningless. If there is a chance at the playoffs, there will be demand, but no one will want them if the Pats suck.

Last year's Jets game get in price was $10 on game day. I got tickets to the Redskins game around noon game day for $30. My son bought Chargers tickets on Ticketmaster for around $150 before the season - dumbass -....game day get in price was around $40.
There was a time when I could sell my preseason tickets for face value. Those days are long gone and will never come back.
The last two seasons are the first time I can remember massive swaths of empty seats in a long long time

Frontrunners. I'm a Patriots fan. I cheer for the team regardless of record.

Agreed, and I'm going either way. But there are a lot of people that have spend years making a profit and occasionally going to a game. Those people are going to turn over. There are guys on the Facebook STH group that are pure scalpers, have 12-16 seats and sell them all. They are going to take a bath this year or next and they'll turn over as well.
