I can't recall a franchise LT in his prime being traded.
I'd say the odds of trading Wirfs is basically 0.1% only because you can never say 100%. Reality is he will end up with Tampa Bay.
A trade is absolutely not happening; they have the cap space next year when they'll be able to franchise him if they need to.
He can't miss games this year with any holdout and he knows that, so new contract or not he's definitely playing for TB this year.
Laremy Tunsil, offhand, but for the most part, your point is on point.

Its not college any more, Caleb. You need to learn to play within structure.

Shrug. Mac is at the early part of being a career backup. He'll bounce around a lot of places before he's done and have some good money to show for it.

Best job in professional sports; perhaps best job anywhere.

Mac Jones is one Mo Lewis away from starting. He should get ready.

Me and my buddy were just talking about that.
Just be a cheerleader and hope your starter never goes down and comfortably collect checks like Chad Henne.

I'm more convinced than ever that Bill didn't really want Corky at #15 but had to roll the dice because another year of Scam Newton would've been intolerable.
Here's the thing if he didn't want Mac then what?

Bill seemed to be a little gun shy. He didn't draft one in 2020 and he may not have loved Mac but others in the front office did and I think he did like that he got one and that the one that seemed like a decent fit fell to 15.

Mac Jones was a great pick. Not having to trade up to grab a pro ready QB who just won the national championship was a no brainer.

Mac was selected to the pro bowl his rookie season. Would have been interesting to see what Mac's progression would have been had Josh McDaniels stuck around.

Yeah I'm glad he held his water and didn't make a trade-up for either Corky or Fields; that might've spoken to his doubts about their prognoses as successful pros...

I keep coming back to those two brief video clips: the first with Bill (& McD) shaking his head during Corky's pro day; and in their draft room when he asks, to no one in particular it seemed, We OK with this?

I wished Bill had asked that question during the draft two years earlier...

There are many reasons hiring Patricia and Judge should have led to Belichick's firing after that season (unless it had worked out, obviously). Either Bill was too stupid to realize they were in over their heads. Or he was too arrogant to think anybody could run an offense. OR he was pissed at the team. OR was too old and just wanted coaches he was comfortable with, no matter their qualifications.

ANY of these was enough for him to be fired. Patricia and Judge was such a monumental mistake that it should have been the sign that Belichick was done.

JMD would have helped soften the crash landing for sure, the end would be similar. Mac was good when the game plan protected him and the team played not to lose. Things went to hell when the team asked Mac to help win games. It didn't help that teams figured Mac out and the intensity increased as teams fought for the playoffs. Even with JMD around. I think the team would be looking for a new QB when Mac;'s contract was up. All of this is hindsight, finding a franchise QB is not easy.

Honestly. If BB didn't want Jones, he should have taken Darrisaw to develop behind Trent Brown and Wynn. Particularly since Wynn couldn't stay healthy. Heck, maybe they'd have kicked Wynn inside to LG at that point and not drafted Strange..

OT: Other teams?

Klint Kubiak being the Saints’ new OC is going to make that offense more dynamic. Much like with the Patriots.

More outside zone runs with the QB under center featuring play action prominently. More motion. Greg Cosell explains how this will work on a Saints podcast. I really like this as a concept.

Father time is undefeated but I find it hard to think someone as good as Rodgers goes out the way this is looking I think there might still be a little juice left and if he does they are probably the front runners in our division.

Buffalo probably takes a step back unless Allen just carries them despite some of their setbacks. Which might actually be more likely than Rodgers still having juice.

Miami probably has the best roster of the 3 but I still don't trust Tua.

All that said one of them probably still runs our division but if all 3 stumble and Maye is legit before the years out then Mayebe we can compete quicker than we think.
Rodgers will probably make the playoffs and then crap all over himself per usual.

He was like the eighth choice for the pro bowl after everyone else said no thanks. And he was basically garbage for the last third of the season after teams had tape on him. And he was never good after that.
