Playing on a Saturday rather than Sunday?
Meh.

Games being televised on Apple TV, Peacock, Netflix, and other subscription only services?
This is not a good sign for sports fans.
It's already bad enough that the game goes on for nearly three and a half hours because of all the advertising breaks.
That's more than a full hour longer than a baseball game, which people label as being too long.
But now you still have that same length, plus having to pay for a subscription to watch games?

Moving individual games to this or that paid service like they did with the Miami/KC Playoff game to Peacock last year is ********. That move was a perfect example of having true NFL fans by the balls and then giving them a squeeze.

But speaking of BS, Because I already had YouTube TV, I fell into a trap of buying the NFL Sunday Ticket this past season. I only wanted to watch the Pats and as you all know that was not a lot of fun. By the middle of last season, I realized that I had made a mistake.

This coming season, unless they change it, I think I'll go for the NFL+ Package as it has an out of market live radio feed and delayed video broadcast for about $9.00 per month. The live radio feed is all most of us had for games back when I first begun following the Pats because home games rarely sold out and were not televised. So this might bring back some memories. BTW, I'll miss Gino and Gil not doing the broadcast though.

The bottom line is that the NFL can set whatever value they want to view their product and I as a consumer can decide if I agree with their value. If I don't agree, then I have to find a better way to stay involved or pass on the deal completely.

If I were a betting degenerate, like the members of the @Guts casino, I would put all my money on Netflix getting these rights.

I love the NFL+ package. But Sunday afternoons are terrible for me with kids/family activities, so I like watching the game delayed. Plus skipping the commercials. And if Mac was playing, skipping to the end to see how much we lost by.

LOL on the skipping to the end part. . .

Thanks Mike, that's good to know.

I think NFL+ also has the Pre Season Games? If so, I guess the best time to get NFL+ would be around August 1st?

Also, do you think other than the NFL Red Zone and Coaches Film (either of which I don't care if I have or not ) that the NFL+ Premium is worth it or is just the NFL+ alone good enough?

I don't bother with the premium, but I don't care about red zone. So your interests may be different than mine.

They do have the preseason games, which is nice, being out of market.

They sometimes have deals early in the preseason, so I would look around then. Also, it used to be that many teams' season ticket holders would get free NFL+ with their tickets. A lot of people would sell the NFL+ code on ebay for very, very cheap, so sometimes you could get the whole season for $20. I don't know if they still do that anymore, though.

I don't care for The Red Zone either so it looks like the NFL+ for me.

Thanks for the info Mike. . .
