Seems like odd timing. Our tackle position is still unsettled. Okorafor/Wallace/Anderson/McDermott/Lowe/Wheatley all coming to camp competing. 6 guys for 3 spots most likely, and only Wallace is a sure-fire roster lock. Could always be injuries too. Not sure why they felt the need to thin the numbers this far ahead of training camp.

Oline reps are at premium . So it might be reserved to those with potential and those that can be here fkr next 3 years .

I have a feeling they are nicely setting up for next year where we have limited holes but some decent sized cash as well so that we can spend on some marquee agents . If we solve our long term LT with our draft pick / okrafir and both the wide receivers pan out , next season will be fun. Sometimes you need some luck.

Else we will anyways draft high next year and get a difference maker in LT and defense . I expect next year to be BPA as everyone will need to contribute .

This year was need based as we expect them to grow into the role . This is like cam Newton reset year , but with more cash.
