Had a dream last night…Pats talked the Cards (Arizona not St Louis) into trading the 4 and 27 to secure MHJ. Then we traded 27 and our 4th to Pitt for #20 :

What else did the Pats get?

If they move from 3 to 8 they are getting more than 32, and Alt and Penix aren’t terrible.

An elite OT and starting quality QB. Certainly better than what we have at QB right now.

Agreed, but I am wondering what else the Pats got. I know the mocks are not always specific on the trades, but in a vacuum Alt is worth the #3 pick if you are set at other positions like QB.

Penix is a lottery ticket and admittedly there are better prospects, but a trade down is looking to maximize value, so if the Pats got a #1 pick that turns into a high pick next year then that is a win.
