It is clear that Wolf is in charge from the hirings. And it looks like he has a different philosophy than Belichick wanting a fully stocked staff.

The question for me is does Wolf have final say on personnel or does Mayo?
This implies Wolf does, but it's not explicit, and not official.

I like the concept some teams take where the "GM" (or equivalent) builds the 90 man roster in free agency and the draft, but then the Head Coach has final say when the "53 man roster" final cutdowns happen. But otherwise the GM has final say.

That makes sense.

Let me put it this way. I'm a fan of trading down from 3 and grabbing an OT and getting the draft capital to trade up for a later QB. But I don't have a lot of faith in Mayo, as a first-time draft-runner, to pull off that level of draft trading yet. But I absolutely have faith that Wolf could pull that off. But if that decision has to be made, does Wolf have to ask Mayo, or can he do it even if Mayo would rather take Daniels or whoever?

I don't mind Wolf.

Wolf >>>>> Groh.
I think we can thank Wolf for almost all of this coaching staff. He leveraged his Packers connections, and then those guys leveraged their connections. It would be very weird to bring in a different GM, or GM-equivalent, later on at this stage after the coaching staff and front office has clearly been molded in a certain image.

It used to be that the Patriots brain drain exported to other teams like the "Patriots South" of Miami or Houston, or "Patriots West" of Las Vegas... Now we're getting the dregs of the league by stocking up on failed Browns and Packers teams.

I would 100% think so. I would expect much less emphasis on coachability and a lot more emphasis on athleticism. These are a lot of young guys looking to make their mark here. They need explosiveness. Look for them to take guys who will excel in WC offense.

It's all going to come down to QB. Look what Cleveland did. Built a good offense, then brought in Jump Ball Joe and they went on a nice run. Build the talent back up and they'll be back in business.

I am interested to see if the OL does better with a couple new faces and a new scheme. I am very optimistic going forward.

Show him the respect he deserves and give him the GM title then.
I agree in principal. But I'd be fine with waiting to see how he shapes the team this off season first before giving him the title.
