You are hoping for a day two tackle to be your LT?
It’s a good tackle class. Could happen. I know LT is a big need, but at pick 3 I want a truly special prospect. Jayden Daniels and Joe Alt are not that level to me. Give me Maye or MHJ. You’re hopefully not picking this high again for a long time.

IMO they need a QB and a starting left tackle... if they don't see or like that guy at three they should trade back a few spots. WR shouldn't even be considered.

I'm ok not getting them both this off-season, I expect about a three year year rebuild if we don't blow any picks. Since I don't love the high QBs, and the team needs talent, you have to consider the best talent in the entire draft.

After that do what you need to do to target and get a LT you believe in with your 2nd.

That's where I differ, I expect to be picking high again, and I'm ok with it.

High - sure. Pick 3? I am sure Kraft is hoping they’re not the 3rd worst team again for a while.

If you have the third overall pick in the first and second round, you should be able to get both.

They should also follow the BB offseason model for filling a position; take one early, take another one late and bring in a value veteran to cover every base. Leave nothing to chance, and create a lot of camp competition.

Assuming they re-sign Onwenu, they need a starting Left Tackle and some tackle depth. The rest of the line is solid.

They need WR, TE and punter competition from the draft also.

Because we are loaded at that position Wozzy.

It’s an even better WR class.

If you don’t take a QB at 3 fine but take Alt and take a WR after.

Alt is the MHJ equivalent at tackle. The guy ceiling is Joe Thomas

Agreed. I've been saying take the QB at 3 or wherever he lands in the top 5.. I'm sure we can move around. Take the LT later in the 1st at what 34? Or something like that. We need talent!

That is the PFFs draft projection directly of thier own website.
That list is their big board which ranks players as prospects but does not take into account where they will be drafted. The latest mock draft on the PFF site they have Daniels going 9th but that is a month old.

Falcons, Titans and Giants are all in the running or Daniels, if Pats trade down one of them is trading up to get Daniels.

He won't get past 8 in any realistic scenario, but I can't imagine Falcons not trading up to secure him if Patriots don't take him.

If they don't take Daniels at 3, they most likely won't get him if they trade down.

If you’re gonna take Alt then it should be a trade down. Someone else will take MHJ at 3. Move down a couple spots and pick up a 2nd. Still get Alt and now you have an extra free 2nd to draft a WR with.

If they don't like a QB at 3, this is the scenario I want. If you improve the line, every QB is going to look better back there.

If he's taken 2nd, we can't get him.
If he's taken 2nd then that's even better because that means Maye or Williams is still on the board and I'm taking him.

Basically I am either A) Taking Maye/Williams or B) if neither are there, taking MHJ and coming back up for a QB in late 1st.

That would be ideal, we can take Maye and WR or LT in the second.

What a dilemma.

We need a LT, WR and a QB.

We only have 2 picks tom really get guys who can help us next year.

And we probably need to trade into the first round by giving up our 3rd pick.

There are a lot of good LTs and WRs who can help you immediately. All of them will be gone by the 3rd round.

Alt, Fashanu, Fautanu, Mims, Latham, Kingsley S., Guyton, Morgan, Paul: none of these guys are making it to the 3rd round.

You might consider using a guard as a right tackle if you lose Onwenu, but then you're just recreating the same dynamic, but those guys are out there: Barton, Beebe, Zinter, etc.

This is a really good year for centers as well, but we already have a backup for that position, UNLESS Cole Strange's career is over and we move Andrews to guard. At which point, Powers-Johnson, Van Pran, Frazier, a few others come into play.

WRs beyond these top guys are going to be iffy: Harrison, Odunze, Coleman, Nabers, Franklin, Thomas Jr., Mitchell. With Worthy, Legette, Corley, you really don't know what you're getting. McConkey can be boom or bust, he could be a Cooper Kupp, or a Braxton Berrios. Regardless, none of these guys are making it to the 3rd round, except for Corley. And he is developmental. Jamari Thrash will be there in the 3rd or 4th.

I just want to hear more from these people that insist that Daniels has a cannon and is very accurate, because I'm not seeing it in the games. It could be true, but I want to know the basis for these statements.

Penix is such a huge turnoff for me because of his horrible form, always bailing out and throwing off his back foot. I've seen enough of that to last a lifetime.

I suspect Nix is going mid first round to a team like the Raiders.
