We Drafting a QB

Yeah? And can you point us to areas where Bill’s top secret, never say anything approach led to us winning?

Mayo stated they’d take a player at an important position (QB/WR) and guess what if we stick with that pick there’s no other option. It’s not like he just revealed anything shocking.
is this a joke???

BAP at a very important position.

QB is a very important position but so is WR for the Pats.
Not sure how anyone else feels but I’d be pretty upset if we took Daniels over MHJ at 3. Just think there’s a considerable gap between the two even if the QB need is glaring.

Totally agree, especially considering the dropoffs between the 1st and 2nd, and then again to the 2nd and 3rd QB in the draft. Harrison's widely considered the best overall player in the draft. You'd be a fool not to take him if he's there at 3.

It's a tough call. By all accounts MHJ is a day 1 starter w/ All Pro potential in a position of need. Based on value, given the WR contracts, and the need, it's a no brainer safe pick.

Don't know much about Daniels, but there's no unanimous agreement on his potential so there's risk.

Looking at FAcy and the rest of the draft:

FAcy:
WR: there's a few elite receivers available but they'll cost.
QB: only a couple of quality starters that'll probably sign w/ existing teams.

Draft:
WR: deep class, so a day 1 starter can be had in later rounds.
QB: top 3 will be gone in top 10. Are the later round ones good enough to warrant a pick?

Conclusion:
WR: there's good choices to get both in FAcy and later in draft if we pass on MHJ.

QB: not a lot of good choices in FAcy, and risk later in the draft.

To me, if Daniels is the guy then get him. If he's not, then MHJ has to be the pick. A generational receiver on a rookie contract will solve one huge hole on offense. You'd then need to get a bridge vet QB like Brissett.

Then there's the entire LT dialog, which is similar to the QB situation. Now there's word Onwenu is a gone. Does tackle become a higher priority > QB/WR?

Someone has their work cut out for them.

Yikes, Mayo already falling into the trap of being loved by the media - and dropping info.
BB never gave that much of hint in all of his 24 years combined.
Bill's gone and it's time to move on.

I'm in favor of trading back with the #3 pick for as much as they can get. They have too many holes that need to be filled.

was thinking more about a Daniels comp and whether you take him at #3. Everyone points to Lamar, Cunningham, but you know who he resembles to me body type and play style wise? RGIII

Now he’ll just get mad because you don’t understand his “humor.”
You just defined gaslighting. Throwing out garbage, gauging the reaction to see if you’ve hit ally or enemy, then calling it humor to deflect enemies.

Yeah, I keep trying to talk myself into Daniels but he is so far from a safe bet. MHJ is arguably the safest bet in the draft at a position of need. We can't afford to whiff on that 3rd pick.

Keep coming back with MHJ and then Bo Nix. MHJs floor is pro bowler and his ceiling is the best WR in football by 2025.

And I feel the exact opposite way. This draft has extremely deep at WR, and the Patriots have the worst QB’s in football.

At first I wanted Daniels. Our need at QB is obvious.
Just not sold on him at pick 3
We have not picked this high in A long time and have so many needs on Offense
Fill one of those needs with a blue chip prospect
As many has said. MHJ is arguably the best player in the draft at a very important position
If Nix is there with our pick in 2nd then that is where we take a flyer on a Q
OT in 3rd

In true Madden fashion I would take Jayden Daniels at pick 3 , however I would also make sure that he was surrounded by people that could help him transition into the NFL

Where is all this love for Justin Fields coming from, suddenly? You all *saw* him play the last three years, right?
Exactly, the guy is borderline a bust who put a few good games together at the end of the season and then all this love came up, I guess it's coming from the Bears and they're playing brilliantly to disguise their real intention and get a pick for Fields because the press is feeling this same love.

The Bears drafted #1 last year and #8 this year (because of this nice little run to finish the year otherwise would be a top 5 pick) if you have a good QB your not drafting top 5 consecutive years, period.

Oh the coach, oh the system, **** that. DJ Moore is good, Cole Kmet is good, Mooney...Good QBs overcome that.

The Bears are getting a QB because Fields is garbage. The Pats will need to trade up if they want Maye or hope either the Bears or Washington make a questionable pick.

I could see a scenario for a team risking a 3rd rounder on him, maybe even a 2nd stretching, I think there is some value here but I hope it's not the Patriots. He will need his 5th year option picked until May.

Keep going back and forth but think I would still take Daniels at #3. The chance to grab a potential franchise QB just doesnt happen too often and is nothing exciting in free agency nor in next year's draft regarding QB's so when would they be able to address the, by far, most important position in the NFL? Keep looking at the dramatic improvement in Houston with Stroud and is just a perfect example as to why you can't potentially pass up an opportunity like this with Daniels. Load up on OL in the 2nd and 3rd rounds and try your luck in free agency with WR's and TE's.
