Bill’s first offer…

Disagree. No reason to think he can’t adapt, except ageist bias. I figure he’s got 3 years left, give or take a couple. If he lands in the right place that could be another twenty wins, maybe thirty. Definitely enough to pass Shula, and maybe another couple of Lombardis. Patriots hired Mayo as LB coach in March 2019, he was made HC in less than 5 years. In three years Bill could easily develop his successor, given almost any previous coaching experience as foundation. Not a bad rental. How many NFL coaches last more than 3 years anyway? I don’t know but I’m guessing maybe half?
Lay off the pipe dude.

It's a bit jarring reading that Bill interviewed for Atlanta. I just thought some team would offer him the role.
I hope he wore a blue suit with a blue tie.

They’ve got to follow process, if nothing else to check the Rooney Rule boxes. I expect they asked him questions that they can use to quiz other candidates.

Plus, they need to interview him to find out what their offer will be. And how their working relationship will shape up. It’s a process.

I'd love to see BB coach the Eagles or Cowgirls it be very interesting

Antonio Pierce has more requests for interviews than Bill Belichick or Vrabel. GM interviews are the same, everyone but Bill.

I wonder if all these stories are a way to black-ball Bill from the league.
Wonder why that could be?

At least three QBs on that list would be more than good enough. Not including potential trades.
I expect that if Arthur Blank told Bill he could have any QB on that list the result would be a strong contender. There were at least four or five that I could see Bill choosing.

Put it on record that Vencool doesn't think the Falcons can make the playoffs with Kirk Cousins or Baker Mayfield. Noted.
Both those QBs will be re-signed by their existing teams. Who's the 3rd?

You have to wonder: is it harder to be a 42 year old QB or a 72 year old coach? Either way, it doesn't matter for the Patriots.
I'm going with the 42yld.

I happen to disagree. Teams are looking at Bill as the GOAT HC the 6x superbowl winner not the HC of the last few seasons. Anywhere he goes WILL need a QB, without the QB even the GOAT cannot win! At 71 as @sb1 Mentioned.. he'd be a rental. Coaches, well..HCs don't typically go well into thier 70s. As for Mayo is 37, he played the game at a high level, was voted 7 times consecutively team captain, and former all pro. That is remarkable! He brings pedigree to the coaching position. However your right on 3 years left for Bill. He'd be basically just coaching to pass shula, because if the team doesn't have a QB his greatness is obsolete.

Atlanta makes no sense when they don't have a QB, and deep down Belichick must know that not having a QB is what ultimately did him in with the Pats.
If he doesn't he should have been let go years ago

Wow, you know what teams are thinking. Cool. Cool.

He's basically like a "rental" at his age. Would I want my team to bring in a 71 year old coach where you'll be looking for another coach in a couple years.

Nope... don't care who he is. I think the market for him is a lot smaller than we think.

It’s why the cowboys make perfect sense. Team ready to go, repeatedly underperform. Need to win NOW

Bill could be the X factor.

Looks like it may be Atlanta though. Do they go out and sign a cousins? Mayfield could be good but Tampa is definitely keeping him.

It remains to be seen.

Remember, when Marv Levy was doing it, that was over 30 years ago. People back then smoked, abused their bodies, inhaled lead, etc. 72 is the new 62 just like 42 is the new 32.

You just want an "I told you so moment" remember your Great BB once said better a year early than a Year too late.

Cool story, except you don't have to go back 30 years:

Pete Carroll: 25-26 (.490) / playoffs 0-1
Bill Belichick: 12-22 (.353) / no playoffs

Unless you consider chewing gum toxic, your take is trash.

No need to "request" to interview BB, he is a free agent
