Just dirty!!!

All else aside, 31 is not old for an OT. If healthy, able and motivated, Brown should have several years of tread left wherever he moves on to.
I agree that 31 is not old for an OT if the player enjoys playing football and has taken care of himself his whole career. Unfortunately neither of those stipulations applies here.

Not with his weight issues.. Remember.. Brown is a guy who has been over 400lbs at numerous points. His weight has been such an issue that his 1st contract and the most recent one had clauses in it about his weight..

That's why I stipulated "if healthy and motivated." He has the ability and good OTs often play past their mid-thirties (remember Bruce Armstrong played here 14 seasons). But maybe Brown has finally worn out his NFL welcome.

Probably put more cred in a story from NBC Boston than Barstool... I thought simply, Brown sucked this year and did not show a lot of effort..
A lot of sportswriters were saying that he was a Top 10 Olineman during this season to refute that the Pats had no talent on offense.

Hmmm ... so what exactly has he earned this year.
He has not even earned a participation trophy ....

As long as it closes the book on Trent Brown in New England I'm fine with it

tired of the endless injuries & the inconsistent play... McDermott is half the talent twice the heart... Would rather have a guy like that than Trent Brown... He has the skill, size and talent to be a top 5 LT in the league, but doesn't seem to want it...

Good riddance.
Absolutely.. let's be real.. Trent F'D himself, playing when he wants, practicing when he wants.. as I've said he got his 60 Mill and retired from the NFL.

Trent Brown situation very much like Isaiah Wynn last year...hmmmm
Either Patriots are not picking the right guys who will give it 100% no matter what
or the coaching sucks.
Either way...history repeats itself

What's "just dirty" is Trent Brown's lack of effort and commitment toward earning those incentives.
Don't bite the hand that feeds you. I feel bad about it. When healthy and motivated he was very good. This year he was neither. Time to cut the knot.

Imagine being so lazy, or being so much of a Bill hater, that you post a take of a talentless hack from Barstool as fact, without doing so much as a single Google search yourself, to see if there’s another side to the story. Brown did this to himself. I’m sure that Bill and the other coaches finally had enough after watching the film from last weeks game. Both Zo and Bedard referenced multiple plays during the Broncos game which Brown essential took off. He was on the field, but just stood around.

Do us a favor a space us any more threads.

I've said for the last couple of months that I didn't see Brown in the Pats plans moving forward. Not because of any of this, but because of the fact he's been oft-injured and he'll be 31..
And he is lazy. Came into camp out of shape. Again.

And he has quit on the team. Isn’t afraid to air his anti-team sentiment on social media such as his message to Malik Cunningham playing for a team who appreciates him.

He is a locker room cancer. He thinks he’s bigger than the team.

In short, his career with the Pats is ovah.

Don’t let the door hit you on the way out, Blob Brown.

It's about the reputation of the team doing that. Players take note of this as I have heard many players mention this over the years.
The flipside is true as well. This shows the guys that have no respect for Brown and his ******** in the locker room that guys skating by won’t get paid. Everyone respects the boss that holds their peers accountable when you’re busting your ass and they’re not.

Just another indication on how good an OL coach Scar was, he seemed to be the only one that was able to inspire Brown to be motivated and play.

The guy blew off his offseason preparation, came late and out of shape to minicamp, came to training camp allegedly ready, didn’t practice every day in camp, didn’t play in preseason at all, and then missed a huge number of snaps this season because he was constantly injured **shocker**

They already gifted him some extra money in camp, and with 11 losses going into yesterday they made a smart decision so tough for him, next year he can keep himself in shape all year and maybe his new team will overlook his very spotty history of being available.

His last go around in free agency he wasn’t that hot a commodity. The OT free agency class this year sucks so I’m sure someone will go for him and find out he won’t be any different for them.
If even 50% of what's been reported about Trent Brown are true (both this year and years past), whenever he's gotten paid he might play well for the first year of the contract (if he stays healthy, which he has trouble doing as he won't commit to staying in-shape), then he goes to "mail it in" mode. Let another team waste their money. Personally, despite our serious O-Line woes, I don't want him back (except at the absolute veteran minimum), and even then as a back-up!

I don't want him back. It's rinse and repeat with him. There are guys in the league that have made far less money than he has, but put 100% effort into what it takes to be a professional. He's not a professional in both his attitude and conduct.

Not sure what you're talking about, I've been told the players are playing hard for their coach.
