I mean... that's a bit harsh. They're discounting Edelman because he was a college QB. They're discounting Jakobi Meyers because he was undrafted. They're discounting Malcolm Mitchell because his career was tragically cut short by injury. Certainly the record is bad, but this is twisting it into misleading territory.

No it's not: Mitchell was over-drafted by a Full Round because Everyone already knew he was Damaged Goods. Billy gets a Half-credit for that pick, tops.

I actually have put some thought into the reverse of this though. What if Bill goes elsewhere and is very successful, and whoever Kraft replaces him with still sucks? I think Kraft's reputation will get eviscerated.

That's not Ever happening, and we All know it.

I just don't understand that argument about Brown. Given all that we've seen from him? He wouldn't have lasted a couple games, never mind a season.

Brady left because of the lack of a 2 yr contract.

Of course, before the 2019 season even started, Brady showed up on Steven Ross's yacht so we don't really know what Brady's intentions were.

Did he leave for the lack of a 2 yr contract? Yes, that's what I believe.

But I can also be convinced he wanted to leave for Miami prior to 2019 and that everything that happened resulted from him not wanting to destroy his legacy in New England. I only say that because no one has yet to prove provide an explanation for what Brady was doing on that boat.

I don't get the infatuation with Antonio Brown, either. Dude was a head case. Knowing what we know now about how hard it is to play in Foxboro, he was a bad fit. For every post of oh what could have been, I will show you Joey Galloway and Ocho Cinco. There's no guarantees he would have been great.

Your point of Brady is very interesting, one that a lot of folks here want to overlook. It's the dirty side of the NFL. I think he was trying to force the team to give him what he wanted. Kinda like Kraft and his dalliance with Connecticut.

So crazy to think that after the win vsBills, I was penciling in 4 wins against WAS, IND, NYG, LAC to have us potentially at 6-6 right now.
But we lost those 4 games by a total of 16 points, and the team is in complete free fall.
What a season.

This is what Holding Your Ass-istants Accountable looks like, Billy, you ****ing Hypocrite.

Part of me wants to laugh at this, but honestly, Zappe did get him in position for a couple of these. I don't know why Mac was incapable of this all season.

Zappe's deep balls were far better than anything Mac has thrown this year. We heard a lot about how Mac couldn't throw deep because of the OL, but Zappe seemed to do just fine. If there was pressure he simply moved. If he can clean up his short accuracy, and if it's not pouring this Thursday, maybe they have something.

Some good stuff from Reiss:

Now that I see it I can't unsee it. Ugh this guy really pisses me off... I'm too biased to blame the WR coach, as I'm sure that's been hammered into his brain since he got here, and I've seen Jakobi and Bourne (and even Reagor recently) throw excellent blocks in the last few years. TT11's run really should've been a TD. Ugh.

"If receiver... Parker held his block on Safety... James Jr, ... Thornton... would have been a touchdown. The Patriots have a sign in their receiver room and part of it reads "No block, No rock."

This is the first plausible explanation that I've heard.

zappe was pleased with operation as a whole?

What operation, certainly not the passing offense?

"If receiver DeVante Parker held his block on safety Derwin James Jr., receiver Tyquan Thornton's 39-yard run on an end-around probably would have been a touchdown. The Patriots have a sign in their receiver room and part of it reads "No block, No rock" ... the Patriots need more attention to these type of details, across the board, on offense."

- Yet Dorothy continued to see not only snaps on the field, but targets as well. Bill Belichick's a ****ing Liar with Zero credibility.
I can't unsee his raised hand pointing number one while his guy flies by to make the tackle. Ugh Ugh Ugh.

Strongly disagree with a small part of your statement (other wise cool beans)... Mac's 58 air yard throw to Reagor (ugh drop) was the best long ball I've seen on the Pats in a while. There have been some BAAAAD drops this year... More Ugh.

I think it depends on the situation. Imagine 2 scenarios

(1) He goes to the Washington Commanders currently ranked 22nd offense and 32nd defense.
(2) He goes to the LA Chargers, currently ranked 11th offense(missing #1 WR) and 19th defense. Supposedly have franchise QB.

If takes the Commanders on several deep playoff runs that would be impressive. Taking the Chargers on several deep playoff runs significantly less impressive.
