I have been thinking about how the QB change affects players other than the QB. Dugger is an example. If going to Zappe (or Cunningham) allows the offense to be more efficient, play for field position, maybe get some field goals, use up time of possession and at least just not turn the ball over, it may do wonders for some of these guys. The defense in general may hang tighter even though they have been solid already despite the circumstances.
On offense, consistency at QB may help the offensive line play with confidence as well. It sounds like at least some WRs might prefer Zappe’s passes. It would be interesting to see maligned guys like Parker and Juju suddenly become productive with a QB change.
The story says some players complained that Bill had them practice in the stadium on Friday to re-acclimate to their home field (which they’ve been away from for several weeks), because they don’t like the turf and prefer practicing on natural grass.
Seems like a silly complaint - it was one practice.

Thanks. NESN has so little substance to their articles and, while it’s been a while since I’ve bothered clicking on one, they always had too many pop ups and banners blocking the screen.
