In the past 10 years, the Pats have won 3 SBs, yet this tool is complaining about drafting a pro bowl player
Yeah, that's important. It's one of the biggest reasons the Pats are where they are today.

Bro.

And yet...

This smacks of "the last 25 years" comment. Yup the guy's a legend. Hall of Famer.

He's also failed to draft a Pro Bowl player in 10 years and has completely ignored the offensive side of the ball. Instead he's choosing to draft players that make his sons look good on defense.

speaking of Pro Bowls, here’s a link to an item from just a couple of years ago:

Mac Jones named to 2022 Pro Bowl

As an alternate. One guy doesn't disprove my point. You want to say 9 out of the last 10 years? It's still bad.
So we’re playing for pro bowls now?
You realize in 4 of those years we couldn’t send guys to the pro bowl because we were in the SB.
I think the browns, jets and raiders had a lot of pro bowlers.

That’s an odd comment implying Kraft is making decisions on the starting QB. I can’t imagine Bill would stick around for long if that was true.
Me reading the comment about Kraft at the top of the decision process on starting QB:

I've been freakin' saying it for weeks. I keep thinking it sounds stupid but the little breadcrumbs keep falling.

Hard to see BB sticking around though if Kraft is doing this. This is also what got Tuna pissed off when he was here...

You think it's his fault?
Not completely but he's part of it...I would have never let D-Hop leave the Building. BOB didn't have much to work with but D-Hop would have helped. Remember Game #1 you think D-Hop would have missed two toe taps out of bounds??

D-Hop? Dude stop. D-Hop was never a Patriot. I could give two juicy ****s about what happened in Houston.

Starting to think Malcolm Butler had something going on with a certain Opthalmologist (aka Mrs. RKK). I'm kidding!!! Please call off the snipers.

It was a really stupid question to begin with. Asking an OC if he has the authority to tell the HC if he could sit a QB?
Steve Belichick >>>>>>>>>>>JC Jackson>>>>>>>>>>Superbowl benching

Maybe but it might all be a lot more benign than we think.

2021, things are promising. Mac looks solid. Bill and Kraft are on the same page, Mac could be "the guy".
2022, Josh leaves and takes tons of coaches with him. Bill brings back Matt and Joe and they decide to simplify the offense. Makes Mac mad, Mac is vocal about how it's bad for him, the offense overall looks kind of crummy.
2023, Kraft tells Bill "your experiment with Matt and Joe backfired last year and Mac suffered for it, go back to the old system that worked the year prior, bring back BOB to run it and Mac should return to form." Bill privately says you're right, it didn't really go the way I envisioned but I don't think Mac really is as good as we thought he was in 2021. But I'll give him this year to show us what he's got before we have to commit to him. Turns out Mac sucks, the 2023 offense is even worse than 2022 despite running things the way Mac wanted, Mac regresses terribly.

Now that doesn't necessarily mean that Bill is being held against his will starting a QB he hates, it could have been more gentlemanly than that. Hopefully Kraft sees Mac sucks and is glad Bill did not spend tons of cash on what would have been a bad year regardless. And maybe Bill also didn't necessarily see a far better QB alternative available anyway that he didn't have to spend an arm and a leg on, so trying Mac one more year was worth a shot. If it is all kind of above-board then I could see Bill staying on and picking a new QB and basically doing 2021 over again - draft a QB in the first, spending a bunch of cash on pieces and seeing how you net out long term.

plausible scenario. Will disappoint the conspiracy fans.

if it’s true I can also see Bill signing a vet FA QB so he can draft Harrison in the first and a developmental QB later. That gives two tickets in the QB lottery.

Bill ****ing Belichick must Never, EVER be allowed to make another draft pick Ever ****ing Again. Period.

I agree on D-Hop, but watching what happened in Houston when O'Brien was here, I am not one bit surprised he has done nothing in NE. The offense really doesn't look any better than the Matty and Joe show, does it? He's the Quarterbacks coach too, and they are both much worse than last year. I can't think of one time this year saying, "that was a nice play call."
