Ravens Fined

Should of been more.

Billick is a fraud he is the one that ignited the players by saying all week the refs favor the patriots

I thought that Bart Scott deserved to receive more than a 25k fine, which was only 10k more than Rolle, Mason and McAllister. Some had suggested a suspension, which though extreme, is closer to the punishment that is needed. He had to be dragged away after following one unsportsmanlike conduct after another (totally disresecting the rule of law). We cant teach our kids not to behave in this way if all he gets is a small financial penalty - which is between 3 or 4 times the penalty for not doing up your helmet buckle.

Has anyone heard him apologize yet?

This is just going to continue the meltdown in Baltimore. I honestly think they don't even know they are playing this Sunday, that's how much they are talking about the Pats game

The Ravens are getting their just due in the win and loss column. Their attitude is translating into losses. In the end, that will mean their jobs.

"After the game, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady pointed out that there were "a lot of questionable calls and we made some plays" to win the game."

Did anyone interpret this as the writer inferring that Brady agreed with the Ravens' accusations? It isn't exactly clear that he was completely disagreeing with the Ravens.

All he was saying that the first 3 quarters were horribly called in favor of the Ravens.

Oh yea, and for reference during the game, you could see him yelling to the refs as he pointed to his receivers (obviously he was pointing out that the receivers were pushing off).

At the end of the game he was all over them, haven't seen him that pissed in a long time.. there was a lot of holding by the d backs in this game that was not called.

Actually I think $10,000 is a fine for criticizing the officials and $5,000 is just for stupidity.

The officials let them get away with holding and interference ALL NIGHT including the final pivotal potental game winning Hail Mary pass - and these guys are stupid enough to assert that the Refs are pulling for the PATRIOTS?

Stay in school kids... stay in school.

Of course in Mason's case I think he's just still pissed his wife talked him out of signing with the Patriots, otherwise he'd have a Super Bowl trophy or two and some pretty decent endorsement contracts by now.

Exactly. I think if the Ravens had been flagged for about 3 of the obvious muggings during the first three quarters of the game then the officiating would have been rather balanced. As it was, they left themselves open for lots of criticism - mostly unfair criticism from the whiny Ravens players questioning good calls and very fair criticism from TB and others about the consistent non-calls of flagrant fouls through much of the game.

Actually, when he tossed that ref's flag up into the stands, I was shocked that he wasn't ejected right them and there.

respects,

Oh, please. Can we all agree not to use the "how are we going to teach our kids to be good people??" justification? It's downright stupid and makes anyone who uses it look like a 50 year old housewife.

As opposed to the Patriots players who set a "good" example for kids by dancing and stomping on an opponents field after beating them, using other teams taped signals, and taking HGH. Talk about "good" role models!
