Krafts Have a Decision To Make on GM

Zappehour I am all over your QB evaluations you have my attention. We know Drew Lock didn't have "it" in Denver but he just might be a late bloomer ready to shine for his next Team: still also in his QB prime. Hey what's your take on that Joshua Dobbs another late bloomer?? He looks very comfortable in that Vikings Offense as a dual threat. When Justin Jefferson comes back he should be be even better.
My thought regarding a stopgap QB for the Rookie or some one who can hold a clipboard would be to have a simple offense preferably running a variation of the Shanny offense.
Lock has a big arm and can throw on the run got a bad deal in Denver running into a mess of a offense and looked good in spurts with the Seahawks and is a number 2 to Geno.

Mitch Trubiksy was good enough to back Josh Allen up and Allen and the Bills
Reportedly had all the faith and trust in him should he need to come in he has a cannon and is mobile and has shown to be resilient. He has shown more poise than Mac ever has which granted isn’t saying much.

I don’t want to tie cap up in a veteran QB when the future is Drake Maye, Caleb Williams, or JJ McCarthy.

Me too on Tuna. I was shocked he came here under Orthwein. Instant credibility. Pete was an asshat at that time, with all his pumped and jacked BS. The whole CT thing was a mess, but looking back it was just a squeeze, to your point.

The Krafts literally made billions because of Bill and Tom. They should bend over backwards for those guys for the rest of their lives.
Tom especially.

Tom especially.

Yes, we know.

Look the matter of fact if Bill is the HC for the next 5 years are next QB needs thick skin.
Let’s start researching these draftable QBs makeup.
Any reports, audio, we need the next guy to be Teflon.

So you like JJ McCarthy a Michigan QB oh boy. Seems like Deep QB class in 24 I suggest double dipping for good measures.

I’m not against that.
Drake Maye at 2
And Ewer in the 5th would help me sleep at night.

A lot of people like Quinn Ewers you think 5Th Round??
I’m not against if his health checks out taking him in the second or third if we go Harrison Jr in the first.

I like Ewers a lot but I think Drake Maye is clearly the best overall QB in this draft.

What do you think of that LSU Tandem the QB and WR??

Everything I read has Ewers going much earlier than 5th round. Might be moot anyway.

I agree and think he could move to the Second or bottom of the first.
But in the event we take Maye and Ewers is somehow there later yes I absolutely double dip.
In a perfect world we end up with Harrison JR and a really good QB.
But I’m not turning down Drake Maye if he’s there. I know a lot of people are hating on Williams but him Drake and Ewers are the 3 QBs with the highest ceiling in this draft.

I think it's a mistake to double dip. I get the throw more **** against the wall and maybe it'll stick theory, but you're burning a pick you could have used someplace else. Go get a vet for 1-2 years. Take Harrison R1 and then trade back into R1 for best available. Let the vet throw to Harrison while everyone develops. Get more OL help. This defense is pretty good, fix the O.

He can’t keep coaching. That just screams an unhealthy dynamic if you hand over all personnel control to someone else while keeping Bill on as HC.

I don’t see it unless Bill feels so beaten down that he’d accept it.
he is stubborn and wont accept that imo

I agree.

If we pick one of the top 2 QB's, then we won't double-dip.

Plus, you're splitting reps and slowing development of 2 guys.

If we are talking about a 2nd and 4th rounder, we are talking about competition.

You have it backwards.

Belichick COULD be allowed to stay to prove that Mac can lead this team.
If BB was allowed the stay the first thing he'd do was fire Mac Jones.... I think he just did.

There's no fixing Mac, he gave it three years, it didn't work.

We "need" a QB in the first round? So? If we don't get the first two, maybe a QB won't be drafted in the first just because we need one.
They have the worst record in the NFL, seems a high first is highly likely.

The Krafts don't "have decision to make," unless they haven't been paying attention, which is unlikely. It has been obvious for a year or more that Bill is a hopelessly incompetent GM. Maybe at long last Patriots Nation can collectively grow a pair, get honest about the matter, and act.
