OT: Josh McDaniels Fired

Brady took it to Tampa and it worked there. I think it is matching the system to the QB, not "modern" vs. "outdated" systems.
Brady was working within Arians system. It was more of a hybrid of the two. Also, the system was Brady. I think we all should understand that by now.

Yeah, it made no sense to have Lombardi running McDaniels’ offense without McDaniels.

Fair. My answer?

It's Tom Freakin Brady.

But it is just thoughts

I agree. It is a complicated system. But if you can find a QB to run it, it works well.

Besides the Pats which other team runs it currently the Perkins one?

Bring him back as some form of QB coach? We could do with a dedicated QB whisperer for Mac and there is probably no-one better in terms of previous successful relationship. Might free BoB up running O as a whole. Feels like a win-win situation all around as let's face it the O can't get much worse. Just can't win games at 14.8 points/game while throwing pick6s and getting killed in ToP. Start getting 25pts+, reduce dumb interceptions and give D less time on the field and we'd be tougher to beat. Mac being more effective would be the key to that now the Oline is final stabilising.

The Erhardt Perkins system is what it is. You can Google it. Brady made it work but he was raised in the EP system and ran it in Tampa.

True, but they are the WORST.

As in every single coach, with their diverse background all around are better, all of them. And not all of them have competent QB, AFAIK

I understand the difference between causation and correlation, but it's a snapshot of a trend that could be true... our offensive system might be outdated, period.
I'm not buying the E/P system is outdated argument....yet. We aren't talking about the wishbone here....

Praying that this piece of overrated trash that Brady made famous never sets foot on the sidelines of the Patriots again - the guy can't coach out of a paper bag and most of us remember play calling that made absolutely no sense at all, even made Brady angry he had to carry out the order but because he was who he was,the mentally challenged play calls sometimes worked.

Erhardt-Perkins. No idea - Raiders were using it with Josh until yesterday?

? Hire Ziegler
Actually, I'll clip this part:

From the article:

April 28-30, 2022: The Raiders get little out of the 2022 draft.

It's admittedly going to be tough to land starters when you trade away your top two picks, but the Raiders still can't feel great about who they landed in April 2022. Ziegler and McDaniels came from New England, where Bill Belichick has made a cottage industry out of moving down and grabbing extra selections.

While the Raiders did make a couple of small trades down, they also moved up twice in the fourth round. First, they grabbed running back Zamir White, who has barely seen the field behind Josh Jacobs. Then they traded a pair of fifth-round picks for defensive tackle Neil Farrell, who lasted one season before being traded to the Chiefs for a future sixth-rounder.

The only starter they appear to have landed is offensive lineman Dylan Parham, who moved around the line last season and struggled in pass protection (though he was solid as a run-blocker). Seventh-round pick Thayer Munford has settled in as a backup lineman, but this isn't a great haul for a team that desperately needed youth to build around.
