Pray for John Harbaugh. Imagine his moral dilemma right now. Does he support his brother who sinned under the eyes of god? John must be praying for strength and wisdom. John only plays by the rules and is a model person, citizen, and coach. The Ravens are the model organization of morality and sportsmanship.

Thanks sensei for the info and this isn't about you but this story is a big nothing burger to me
We lived through Spygate
This is different than Spygate, this is premeditated cheating. This is way worse than spygate was. Besides I hate any Harbaugh and I'm watching with glee while he gets his comeuppance. I'm going to post anything I can find about this Michigan mischief. Sweat it out Harbaugh, sweat it out.

Oh, god … the irony in seeing a Patriots’ fan get bent out of shape over alleged sign stealing.

This was premeditated … but the Patriots actions in ‘07 were not? Of course it was; that doesn’t happen spontaneously. A rather absurd distinction to draw between the situations.

You either are OK with this type of gamesmanship or you’re not. Drawing a distinction between how it was performed makes no sense to me.

Personally, I don’t have an issue with it. Change your signals if it’s a concern. Certainly many other programs are engaging in similar in an attempt to gain a competitive advantage.

Multi million dollar entities whose only goal is to win a sports game can’t come up with a way to signal without getting seen ? Embarrassing. If you aren’t clever enough to communicate w/o interception you don’t deserve to win.

There is absolutely no secret in college football that teams work hard to steal signs.
They absolutely 100% send coaching assistants to future opponents games to try to decipher them. I know a young coach who was given that job at a power conference school and the first thing they did was put him on a call with an expert coach to teach him how to do it. There is no secret that it’s being done, one of the first things they are taught to do is try to figure out which signaller is the real one because to combat this they have multiple decoys

No this was not the same as the 2007 Pats scandal. No point comparing the two or calling anything “just gamesmanship”. It’s not even really about sign stealing.

The Pats spygate was about in-game filming signals from an improper location and Bill’s interpretation of the memo on this topic. This isn’t. This is about in person advanced scouting which has been illegal in the NCAA for decades. This is what Michigan or I guess specifically this Stalion guy is accused of doing. And there is evidence of his presence and ticket purchases at Michigan opponents with him filming. It doesn’t look good. The only question is did this guy do it on his own or did the football program do this through him? That’s what they’re investigating.

Harbaugh might be in big trouble here. Unlike the NFL, the NCAA says the head coach of the football team is responsible for everything that happens in the football program with or without his knowledge.
