Report: Kraft has had discussions about potentially moving on from Belichick

I am not surprised any major business owner would do the same.....question is has he made the decision as to when it will be.

If Kraft parts ways with BB I always thought after 23 years and 6 titles BB would get the courtesy of resigning or retiring gracefully instead of the team firing him outright.

Now I'm not so sure they will give him that courtesy.

I don't know how firing Belichick isn't on the table. The team is a disaster from personnel to effort to coaching to pretty much everything. The team is not prepared in games. Right now it is hard to even make the argument that you take away GM duties from Belichick and keep him as head coach because he is coaching so well.

I feel like this is all speculation.
But it wouldn’t and doesn’t surprise me.
If they stay Pat without trading for OL or WRS I know the tank is on.

Kraft is all about image. I don't see any chance he fires Belichick outright without giving him a chance to resign first. Kraft doesn't want to go down in history as the guy who fired Belichick. I don't think it is in his DNA.

I can see it happening if we are at 1-9 after the Germany game and heading into the bye week. It would suck for BB, but how can Kraft not move on.

Replace BB with who?

If BB is gunning for the record all the more reason to make a change sooner than later. Because he probably do what's necessary and sell off pieces to set this team up for the future and why would he.

Unless he has a axe to grind about Jettisoning Tom.
Plus it would look like a real power move and show the fans he is serious about putting a winning program back together.

I thought he fired Pete too soon,
I get the 6 Super Bowl buys you a lot of leverage.
But I wouldn’t put it past Kraft to move on early and call it a mutual decision.
Let Mayo be Hc on a sinking ship to see what he’s made of.
But I’m a very shrewd businessman.

The Pats will be the new Jets.
It’s just their turn. Most teams have had their lows. It was an absurd run of 20 years but some fans can’t accept it’s inevitable to end at some point. Lot of stellar franchises have shoveled **** over the years. Cowboys, 49ers, KC and many more. Just blows me away how entitled and spoiled our fans are by a once in a lifetime QB.
