I'm in favor of this if they can pull it off. I wouldn't trade a #1 pick for the guy, would hate to trade a #2 for him at least to get only him back, but as a fan I absolutely do not want them to tank, they need to do something significant to get the offense going. Nobody's going to trade them a starting caliber LT so Jeudy would be as good an acquisition as I think they could possibly get right now.
Certainly an issue for the Pats right now is that the opposing defense can stack up near the line of scrimmage, making it hard to run and easier for them to blitz, this exacerbates the poor overall play of the Pats OL. They need someone whose speed can be respected to help alleviate this. They don't have it with Parker or Smith-Shuster that's for sure, not sure about Bourne or Douglas, and Boutte and Reagor are not seeing the field. Jeudy has the history with Mediocre Mac.

If the price tag for Jeudy is too high, and if they were inclined to move him and his big contract, would McGlinchey be of interest?
