I'm not saying Zappe is the next great thing but he was sent into 2 games where the team was demoralized by the atrocious play of the starting QB. He threw the ball with more zip. He overthrew 2 open receivers but at least he threw to the 2 open receivers. I'm more inclined to give him slack for being amped up coming into that game. He threw the ball on time. I just can't watch Mac, standing with feet paralel to the los and trying to throw the ball. No zip, no timing, late reads, stupid plays. He's broken, I'm broken watching him.

If it took until week 6 to implement things to help the OL then BOB is not as good of a coach as I thought he was.

Maybe the new plan is to have Mac just to hand the ball off and throw 0 passes.

What the hell kind of "spark" was he going to deliver coming into games where his team is already down 30+ points? If they wanted a "spark" from him they should've put him in a lot sooner when there'd still have been a chance at a comeback. Instead they left Mac in there so he could throw another pick 6 and increase the score deficit further all on his own.

The Maccarites will disagree like Zappe had a shot to come back in any of those games. A Third Blowout loss Loss will be the charm I guess three strikes and you're out BB is using baseball terminology in football anything to light a fire under Mac: BB checkers vs chess.

I considered Van Jefferson earlier this year, and now reports are that Rams are open to moving him.
I wonder if he could be a good addition.
Ultimately I'm done with Parker & JSS. They don't add anything. Parker is no different than he was last year. JSS is done.
Who knows if TT coming back will add much. But, Bourne & Pop are the only guys providing anything.
Consider Boutte & TT - adding Van Jefferson as a cheap test. He had a great year in '21.
