Mac Not Happy With the Groceries

They can give BB his graceful exit anytime both parties want. He can retire or resign as HC of the NEP instead of being publicly fired. I don’t think Bill has any interest in starting over in a rebuild, maybe 10 years ago but not at his age.
Agreed . And it's ok.. I'm fine with him walking away. He's definitely the GOAT HC. But it's time the patriots need some fresh new ideas at HC and an modern era GM that's connected with the college ranks and can identify talent correctly. I think BB knows it's time.. he's 72.. go enjoy life, reconcile with Linda and enjoy life on Nantucket. Let the mayo era begin next season.

Mac has been awful the last two weeks and he looks completely broken. I am not defending Mac Jones. I am saying it is silly to say Pickett is anything other than awful.
I’ve never seen Kenny close his eyes and pray the ball goes where it needs to.
A deaf and blind mute has as much pocket awareness as Mac has displayed these last 2 weeks. If I’m Kraft I am demanding Grier or Cunningham starts I am putting Mac on a nfi list for mental distress and sorting things out in the background I am calling my NFL contacts I al hiring the best of the best to do research on a GM and a HC search this is my team as she owner friendship and loyalty is one thing but as BB says the best of the team.
I am shopping Parker and Smith Schuster to get rid of those contracts.

Many of the all time great coaches didn’t exactly get a fairytale ending to their career. It happens. Father Time catches up with us all. There’s no shame in Bill saying enough. I think he can see the writing on the wall and so can Kraft.

The Steelers won 17-10 and two of the Steelers’ points were off a safety and three points came on an offensive drive that lost six yards. Let’s stop extolling the virtues of Kenny Pickett. He sucks.

If all we needed Mac to do is score 15 point, the Pats would be 3-2 right now.

And this isn’t a defense of Mac. It is just pointing out the silliness that Pickett is doing enough that he could win games without a great defense holding opposing teams in the low teens.

Did he give the opposing team 14 points?

NO!

Am I on here saying Pickett is good?

NO!

I'm talking about the extremely low level of competence that Mac can't attain

Look at the successful coaches in this league currently the winning coaches are predominately under 50.
This is not a coincidence, you need to be likable and relatable willing to use technology as well as have football knowledge.

Miami hit the jackpot with McDaniel.
You need the guy who lights up a room and has football knowledge I may sound crazy but I think I described Brady and Edelman.
I think I would offer Edelman a chance to see if he’s that guy with Mayo as his DC:

If Edelman wants it he would be a great HC.

Pickett is in year two and got his first two TD game last week. You want to go back and count how many two and three TD games Mac had in his first year and a quarter? The answer is 7.
The truth about Corky 2021 is that he beat up terrible teams like the Jets, Browns and Jags. Padded his stats.

Then, he made the 2021 Probowl after all the top QB selections had better things to do and declined to play. Like the last kid picked for dodgeball. When it was Corkys turn to play, he ran and scored a fake TD and then rolled out his signature TD dance.
And I am not blaming the Patriots defense at all. I am giving credit for the Steelers defense.
Youre saying that the Pats defense does not put Corky in easy spots to win like Picket.

Everyone in NE has failed Corky.
You can completely trash Mac without creating a false narrative that Pickett is anything other than awful.
I do not need to since the truth is out.

I wonder if Kraft will give Jerruh a call on how to part ways with a legendary coach. Jones made that call on Coach Landry because he thought it was best for the team and turns out it was the right call.

According to Reference, Mac's PocketTime this year has been 2.0 (2.2 last year) seconds, which is not great but surprisingly just above median. For Zappe, it's 1.4 sec (2.5 last year)... holy crap.

Interesting trend so far where 2.2sec put the Pats at last place last year (or 2nd to last 2 years ago), but would be 9th place so far this year. Not sure if it's because QBs are just getting it out hot more or if the OLs are just generally worse or if DLs are just better overall. SF is 1.9, Bills, Boys, and MIA at 1.8, CIN at 1.6. That's making me think that QBs are going to their 1st reads quickly, which also tells me that Mac just doesn't have that go to guy anymore. The WR1 on last year's SB winning team could've been it, but so far has been quite the dud.

Same tired stuff.

Pittsburgh has 11 take aways this year. The Patriots have two. The Patriots defense has played really well for a lot of the season and the offense has failed them in a lot of cases, but they are not making turnovers and putting the offense in situations for short fields. That is the one area the defense has significantly been lacking this year. But it still doesn't make it their fault that the offense isn't doing anything.

I really think the Patriots were sold a lemon on JJSS. Yet another reason to take a hard look at who is making the call with personnel.

I think Bob is more worried about what's going on in the Middle East

San Fran and Miami's pocket time is a testament to how important great offensive talent is needed. Both Purdy and Tua have the luxury to make their first read and get rid of the ball quickly (as you stated). I bet at times their option isn't even open when they release the ball, but the QBs can trust that they will be open by the time the ball is there.

Whoever is the QB next year even if it is Caleb Williams who is supposed to be a generational talent, they absolutely must get him receivers who can get open quickly. It is important for today's NFL because speed is everything now.

I don’t really care what you think about me.

I am pointing out that saying Pickett getting 15 points as something to aspire to. Pickett benefits from a defense that creates a lot of turnovers that puts him in position to do very little in wins.

There is plenty to trash Mac about without creating the false narrative that Kenny Pickett is better than him. The two weeks maybe, but not overall.

How do you keep up with so many simultaneous fights? That must be 8 posters who all in 24 hours have expressed how much they despise you and your posts, but you wrote a novel to me explaining how I’m the problem.

Kenny Pickett threw a game winning pass yesterday which exceeded any situational highlight of Mac’s career. One can start there without it being a false narrative.

Being sold a lemon implies an expectation of high quality. 31 teams passed on JJSS because they were well aware of his injury history and limitations. It’s just another example of Contrarian Bill in his quest to go against the grain, consequences be damned.

Love the beginning good luck with the ending.

Yup. Also now features the only team in the league I can think of who is built to try and win games running the ball and with defense (and they’re not good at either right now) when everyone else is built on offense.
