Once the initial reports came out/he was arrested, as a mgt team (RK, JK, BB, Groh with advisors such as Stacy James, Jimmy Nolan, Jim Cobery chiming in) one wonders what the vote was (cut ASAP or wait it out) and did Bob overrule to keep or let the vote stand (keep or cut)
On another note.. the situation with Jack isn't getting any better as far as his availability. now he's reported to miss some time with the hammy issue.. those can be season ending. We need someone to step up or sign another Vet at outside CB..

This seems like a very interesting coincidence, that this hammy injury crops up right before the opening game. Could this be a shadow suspension, with the Pats, NFL and Jones (and his reps) working in conjunction and that this was all predetermined. The amount of playing time that the got against the Packers was consistent with a player who was wasn’t going to be playing early in the season. When they delayed the trial, it must’ve been clear to his lawyer that the DA was going to have to drop the case. The NFL was planning to suspend him anyway, which would have lead to an appeal because of prior precedent (Williams not getting suspended for a similar offense).

It was/is in the best interest of everyone (Jones/Pats/NFL) to put the incident in the past and keep guns in the NFL out of the news, so they came up with a middle ground. The Pats lose an important player, Jones is reminded every week that his actions are hurting the team and that he let down his teammates but he doesn’t lose any paychecks, so he and his agents won’t feel the need to fight the decision.

He’ll be back after 4 games just in time to serve his NFL 4 game suspension. Good thing they play 17 games now otherwise he’d miss 1/2 the season!

The report wass that it isn't a big deal. How does that go to "immediate action is needed!"

This is very bad
I wanted Gonzo and Jack Jones
That would have been a great duo
Hope he is back sooner then later

All play and no work makes Jack a dull ....

It will be a miracle if Jack Jones can stay out of trouble....a rudderless immature young man with nothing to do for at least 4 weeks. Too bad the Patriots cannot find him a chaperone....but... did anyone else hear Christian Fourier talking about his time with the Panthers? He was asked to police a troublesome WR on the team? Fourier refused because the WR was basically impossible to deal with. That receiver was Rae Carruth!!!

The next few weeks will be crucial for Jack Jones' future. Either he grows up and becomes a solid NFL player or goes down the tubes like so many others before him and spends the rest of his life in and out of jail. Until he proves otherwise, I have to assume it will be the latter....prove me wrong Jack, please....

You want to get a Jordan Richards vibe just put Ameer Speed in as a DB.

Shot himself in the foot?

its ok we have plenty of Jones

Jack Jones is used to having college and pro coaches and pricey lawyers bailing him out when he gets in trouble, but time is about to run out for this idiot, and if he thinks can keep getting away with it, he will end up in jail or on the streets like Marvin Barnes.

Not like JJ isn’t contributing - left an open spot on the inactive list for DP (didn’t play)..
