Imo:

Bryant

Thornton

Phillips

Reiff even with his guaranteed salary

Bourne would get cut before TT, and I believe this will happen if they are all healthy

Guy...Parker is very happy he signed that extension right now.

Tyquan getting cut would be a brutal failure. If the two rookies make the team Thornton gets the Foxboro Flu and probably gets cut next year.

Matthew Slater I remember when he was a Rookie.

I can not see BB giving up on a second round draft pick after only one year in the system, especially after the Matt Patricia fiasco last year. He has one more year to get his act together.

Just for info , the NFL cut down date this year is Tuesday August 29th.

TT will not be cut. Bourne must have trade value.

Guy is the best candidate IMO.

I think a Bryant cut now would be a surprise to me because I think he's versatile enough to at least provide depth inside or out and we know BB loves that. I thought he was a cut candidate a year ago and he still got a lot of playing time.... which he shouldn't have because he's not good enough to start. Barring injury he probably won't start as much this season if he makes the team.

This reflects the cognitive fallacy of "sunk costs" and professionals with decision making authority are familiar with it. Continuing to invest resources just because you already have is a loser's mistake.

Any player they keep around is because 1) best player for the team this year and/or 2) has promise and needs development time. Once a player is drafted, the decision is over with. There's no "brutal failure" just "better players emerged."

IMHO, Thornton is a rookie who has had a year in an NFL training regimen. He's not had a year in a pro offense. Unless he's showing up to BB as unusually dense, they'll give him that chance.

Cuts or trades, I think, would come from depth positions more than player failures. So DB, where there is more talent and ability than they can carry on the 53. But there will be injuries in the next three weeks and that'll play a role.

I'll take this one step further. Myles Bryant would be a surprise to me if he is NOT cut.

That doesn't mean he won't be on the practice squad or resigned, but I don't see the team paying him 2.6 million, considering the other DB's they have.

Brown would have been in this list but they can't cut him now for obvious reasons.
