Feels that way. I think you can keep Douglas as a 5th WR because he can bring some value to ST. So (at the moment), Bourne, Thornton, and Boutte are fighting for two spots.

It is camp and it is early, but they need to correct these things.

Butter is not going to beat out Thornton or bourne

I don't think so either, but I think that's his only route to a week 1 roster spot. Most likely, if he's with the Pats this season, it's on the PS. One scenario that could unfold though: He doesn't have to BEAT Bourne, necessarily. He just has to be close enough that they find more value in trading Bourne in a contract year, allowing them to keep Boutte on a rookie deal. If he gets cut and goes to the PS, he's now year-to-year. But again, that's IF he even makes the decision difficult, which so far we haven't seen.

Tyquan Thornton is on the Team by default former Second Rotund pick. Juju - Parker - Bourne - Thornton - Douglas. Patriot always carry Five WR's.
