Hopkins comments on trade with Patriots or Bills

He missed some game in 2021 with hamstring issues. Last season he was suspended for the first 6 games. Throughout his career, Hopkins has been an extremely durable receiver, and he's had quite a bit of success with multiple below average quarterbacks.
Thanks. Then maybe I wouldn’t be so opposed to it but it would depend on the money. I know he has great hands, I’ve seen him make some remarkable catches.

The guy needs to force a trade ASAP while he has something left! He’s going down the AJ Green irrelevancy path.

Get him signed to the Patriots ASAP.

Beware of the MBWC (Media Brain Washing Conspericy) the only known way to stay safe is to read at least one thread here a day. You have been warned.
That’s just media brainwashing!

at 19 million a year, i just think fat chance of this happening... would I pay him? yes i would?

will BB? no i dont think so

I think they could get him for 15-16 million, or they could front end load a 2-3 year deal if they want to go there, They have the $$ to get him if they want him, especially since they could let Parker go if they signed him, Interesting decision for them, as Belichick has made it clear he really likes him as a player.

Wanna bet it will be a one year deal as if he really wants to play for a winning team.

No one wants to desperately come to NE...don't kid yourself
You could argue that they'd don't desperately want to come to NE, but that "desperately" is the only way they end up coming to NE (so nice placement of the adverb after "want")

Mo Chanel wrote that Hopkins is on a flight to Boston as we speak, Justin Ramos tweeted that he is personally picking him up at the airport and Erika Leigh announced on FB live that she will be giving him a Rt. 128 hum-dinger….or maybe it is J Ram who will be providing the fellate-o-fish and Rika will be the chauffeur, can’t remember which is correct. I’m too pumped and jacked rn.

If he wants to play for a winning organization - i.e. Not Us - then he might have to accept a one-year deal to play for them, because those teams might not have the cap room to fit him into anything longer…

Is now the time to spend 19 million on a past his prime WR? Seems like its buying high.
I would be shocked if Pats take this on

Hopkins isn’t past his prime, and not knowing the structure of a deal it’s impossible to know whether it makes sense or not. If the primary hit comes this season, and Parker is released, then it wouldn’t hurt them much at all in terms of the future.

When you're not on the field be it injury, suspension ect. It could appear that's the case. However hop is still among the elite.. NFL has alot of recency biases

He is naturally gifted as a pass catcher.. still in his prime at 30.. he'd instantly elevate our offense if he signed.

Agreed, hop is still in his prime.. and I've said before.. even if we didn’t pursue hop.. I feel like there will be an odd man out.. be it trade possibly or maybe stashing A WR on practice squad.

As far as right now Juju, Bourne, Thornton, Parker I can see on the roster.

D-Hop has been injured the last 2 years. He is over 30.

Older, great players either fade or fall off a cliff. He is fading.

The likelihood of him playing more than 80% of the games in 2023 is slim to none.

I think Douglas makes the roster because he can fill that Welker/Edelman role giving the QB someone they can go to instantly under pressure.
