O/T: Building the Patriots All Time 53 Man roster

No Gino? No plethora of RB's from the late 70's - those guys who set the all-time team rushing record?

Andre was NOT an edge - He was a true OLB that could do it all!

No Russ Francis? Julius Adams?

The article's sub-title should be "A Study in Recency Bias"

Edit: Missed Gino as I was just shaking my head so much when I got to receivers.

Awful . I x’d out when I saw Blount and Dillon over Faulk. Laughable

If we're building the roster off their best years:

Dion Lewis over James White.

Leaving Terry Glenn off is just negligence. He easily boots Branch or Edelman.

No to Nate Solder.

Dave Wohlabough was better than Koppen.

Thuney needs to be on there.

Ted Washington makes the D-line. This is just laughable he's nowhere to be found. Even as old as he was in 2003, he had a monster year.

Jarvis Green over Wise.

Adalius Thomas or Chris Slade over Ninkovich. Not even open for debate.

Vrabel is listed at "LB" so we're assuming it's MLB, so that's a no. Jamie Collins 2015 boots him off.

Willie Clay needs to make the S's list. They called him "big play Clay" for a reason. McCourty or Chung are taken off.

You are right. I had a brain ----. Ted Washington was the best clogger in a Pats uniform. Also forgot about Thuney, Wise is not even an honorable mention.

Patriots All Time 53 by Someone Under 25 Years Old.
RB. No Sam Bam Cunningham? Jim Nance. Tony Collins. Mosi Tatupu had
WR. No Irving Fryar, Terry Glenn or Troy Brown?
Hannah at tackle?
No Hunt, Lee, maybe Julius Adams?
No Steve Nelson at LB.
But come on, you’re unaware of Mike Haynes? Malcolm Butler and Asante Samuels over Haynes?

Chris Slade…yeah, maybe.
Adalius Thomas…

Nick Buoniconti
Leon Gray
Jim Colclough
Bob Dee
Houston Antwine
Jim Lee Hunt
Julius Adams
Tom Addison
Russ Francis
Steve Nelson
Ron Hall

Just to name a few, hardly a complete list, who at the very least deserve consideration

Mike Haynes is a top 10 CB of all time in the NFL. Gil Brandt has him at #3. BY FAR the greatest corner we've ever had. Brady, Haynes, Hannah, and probably Tippet are the Mt Rushmore of Patriot greats.

I'll take Ty Law.

I'd put Gronk over Tippet

Good for Cameron Garrity to get something out there to spawn discussion/debate.

He needs a bit of a history lesson though.

Wise and Mason are fine players but are not all-time franchise greats.
