2022-23 Playoffs; The Quest for The Cup

Well then that solves that mystery as to why the B's couldn't stop turning the puck over to the Panthers. It was the terrible Boston fans causing all the problems. Since we are heading to Florida, we should be able to win again. This hockey game is such a simple, game, get your fans to stop saying "mean' things to the opposition and you win. Yay!!
Weak sarcasm

Although fans do matter and that was embarrassing, the Bruins lost because they sucked. Hopefully they won't suck in game 3.

Any updates on Bergie?

Any updates on Bergie?

Shinzawa hasn't updated anything today, from what he reported yesterday it doesn't look likely Bergie plays tonight. None of the other reliable sources is reporting much beyond 'questionable' but I can't even seem to find anything about whether or not he traveled with the team so 'doubtful' would seem more likely

I agree, it sounded funnier when I posted late last night.

I think this team got dealt a tough blow heading in to the playoffs. The illness going around the locker room and Bergeron missing games. Heading into tonight's game being even in the series is acceptable, but now that they have had time to adjust to their situation, it is time to play up to their abilities and win a hockey game tonight!

Although to push back a bit on the fans serenading the opposing team's goalie. To me that is gamesmanship and doesn't cross the line. It's kind of funny and if a player is that weak-minded that they can't handle that, then they don't belong in professional (or college) sports. That is pretty mild taunting if you ask me.

Totally agree it's gamesmanship. That's not really my issue with it, to me I just go by feel, and that felt off for some reason

But small potatoes. As you say, here's to the team playing like they should

thats not what he said but ok.

Glad you guys got it all sorted out. I was thinking I might have to pull this bandwagon over

Ooph brutal rendition of the national anthem

3rd line showing out. Productive 3rd lines tend to win you playoff hockey games

A solid Bruins bounce back road win with a lot to like about it tonight. Coyle and Zacha very solid at the dot and both were very strong on the puck. Marchand was immense, eating minutes and playing some truly smart hockey in all three zones. DeBrusk, of all people, eating minutes and dishing the puck with aplomb. It wasn't all that long ago he was the weakest link in his own end.. Frederic acquitted himself well moving from wing to center. Hathaway brought the body and blocking shots. Foligno was flying around like a kid. Bertuzzi was... Bertuzzi, a thorn in the side of any Panther he got near. McAvoy and Lindstrom were immense on the back end, added tip of the cap to McAvoy for not retaliating when he got straight up blindside mugged. (WTF was up with Barkov only getting 2 for that?). He also laid some nasty (but clean) hits. Orlov played with speed and moved the puck with purpose while playing his off side. Pasta once again had at least a dozen WTH moments, half good and half bad, but he chewed up minutes and made Florida account for him constantly. It has to be exhausting just trying to stay with him, he reverses on what seems like half the coverage hand offs against him. Hall's speed was a factor all game.

Yep, a lot to like especially after their inexplicable failure to show up in the 3trd period of Game 2. That shorty though, ugh.

This is from Game 2 but it's instructional to realize Gudas didn't draw a penalty for any of it and more telling, Marchand did not retaliate. Our Rat has grown up

My parrot watched the game with me and got all excited over that brawl with 3 minutes left, whistling and head-banging.

Are you sure the parrot's banging is related to the Bruins? Parrots copy what they watch their owners do.

You don't know parrots well. The game was salted away at that point so I was watching pretty much dispassionately. When the brawl broke out he got off on it. They like action and drama.

I know Parrots well. Yes I know they like to copy the action and drama of thier owners.

No, you don't know parrots well. If you did, you wouldn't be doubting my account of what happened and attributing it to mirrored behavior. It's an inherent reaction to things they like and are excited by, including music.

Yeah yeah yeah, unlikely. The parrot has been watching some banging over there, and that is why he is excited by the Bruins banging. Nice try. No-one believes your excuses. I am a bit confused how you mimic "Bruins banging" with the wife, but to each his own.
