Joe Judge 2023 role clarified

But he isn't involved in any football operations other than special teams. He is not even directly coaching the players. What are you talking about?
I believe the greater concern is how does his presence with the organization resonate with the players? Now me personally I feel If we go out and win and get back to become a contender again non of this even matters.. all I care about is ensuring BOB is running the entire offense.. I want to see Mac succeed and lead this organization

It's all about semantics. This is a move to keep him on staff for free.

His advice is worth what it costs.

His Special Teams advice might be worth something - hopefully. We need to improve last year's Special Teams performance.

In all fairness to Cam, we lost Cody Davis, had other guys that fill in either hurt or not available.. Marcus Jones was the bright spot on STs.. judge was a good special teams coach.. I'm fine with him there as I'm certain BOB isn't going to allow him to touch his offense even if he tried..

For what it's worth the special teams have dipped since Judge left, he can only help the situation.

A: No
B: i am still trying to find a position for him
Could be.

Also, could be a money thing. MP was used to getting head coach's money off his previous contract with DET. HC/OC/DC aren't available in NE, so presumably he's looking at a big pay cut if he stays. MP interviewed in DEN for the DC job. It may have been just for show, but it also may be an indication that MP thinks/hopes he can get a better paying job elsewhere. There is always the generic "advisor" job slot, but I doubt it pays like HC/OC/DC pays.

he will get paid equal to the value he brings to the organization
i doubt he was seriously considered for the DC job, honestly i doubt that any nfl team would consider patricia or judge for a coordinator or headcoach role
maybe ST for judge and advisory/personnel for patricia but as some reports indicate that i don't remember if it was just judge or both
but i felt that judge/patricia behaved to the players like they would have a high standing but the players didn't think the same way.
i doubt that both guys are beloved by players but this is just my guess

NFL is an old-boy's network.

I could see how in theory Payton could have decided to bring in MP if he thought he'd help him build the kind of defense he wants in DEN.

OTOH I can see in practice how that would be problematic.

It's infuriating that Bill thinks he needs to protect these two from having to go home and tell the wife "I got fired. I don't have a job."

Every time I check this thread my dogs go cringing out of the room.

Absolutely insane.
Belichick is going to do it his way until his dismissal. Likely after the upcoming season.

Unless this is a bounce-back year, which is unlikely. But even the Jets are starting to get their act together. The AFC East is tough.
