I would’ve paid $16M APY easily. Seems like a great signing for Cincy. But, yes, the question now is how do they afford Burrow, Chase AND Higgins this/next offseason?

Yes they can. You always can. Maybe 4 years from now they'll need to dump a bit of salary like the Chiefs did (who btw just WON anyway.) But for this window yes they can afford it.

Surprising the chiefs paid more money for Taylor. Brown is considered the better tackle and they’re almost the same age.

I can’t see cheap arse Mike Brown having the highest paid tackle, the highest paid QB, the highest paid WR, and another WR getting top five WR money. That is what he would have to do to keep Burrow, Chase, and Higgins.

One interesting note I saw on Twitter and hadn’t thought of - Gesicki played at Penn State and was actually recruited by Bill O’Brien when he was the HC there.

What a weird contract for Orlando Brown. It’s $16M average, but that only applies if he actually plays out the third year for what currently looks like $7.6M.

Apparently the other teams bidding for Brown were the Jets and Steelers. He got a $31 mm signing bonus and the Patriots simply don’t like to give up that much cash up front.

How will they pay Higgins now?
Inquiring minds want to know.
Like the Saints paid all their stars in the Brees era. Kicking the can down the road they are paying for it now though.

Feels like Pats are trading water. Good re signs of Peppers, Jones and Macmillan. Smith-Shuster good signing.
James Robinson Meh.

We’ve entered phase 2 of this rumor…. The unverified player sightings.

Phase 3 is typically the Blue Balls phase, when all of the “evidence” turns out to be false.

I hope it’s true.

Maybe a little. I personally feel JR will be a nice player for us. Basically Damien Harris with a receiving game. We needed someone to take some load off Rham and got one. Feel like the Reiff signing signifies the plan of drafting an OT early. He is said to be a great locker room guy. Would like a Gesicki type or hit a TE in the draft. Still thinking we need a Hopkins, Jeudy or even a Sutton at WR. Those prices will drop by Draft day.

Draft Needs:
OT
TE (maybe)
WR (maybe)
CB
DL to eventually replace Guy/Godchaux

Sign Gesicki
Trade 2nd for Jeudy
Draft OT Broderick Jones
Draft CB Kyu Blu Kelly at 76
Draft Edge KJ Henry at 107
Draft DL Leondre Coburn at 117
Draft WR Andrei Iosivas at 135
