Kraft should do a raffle to fly winning fans over on the Patriots aircraft.

That would be a disaster. Between the players having to pay taxes in Europe and each city they play here, getting players to live over there, the flight for the London team as well as the visiting teams would be ridiculous. I am sure it is fun for some europeans to pop over to London to watch an NFL game for the novelty of it but soccer is king over there and the premier league plays plenty of games on Sunday. Does the league really think that the English are going to buy season tickets and miss soccer games? Money, money, money. Marc Cuban's prediction will come true at some point.
It's a country of 70 million. All the fans of the UK would be the market. If you capture just 10% of fan interest in the market, you still have 2x as many fans as you do in markets where 50% of the population is interested in the game (i.e. Buffalo or Milwaukee or Jacksonville). The question is, can you interest 10% of sports fans to watch? If you treat it as an afternoon game London time, a 8 or 9am start in the US, you may capture those fans, as Premier League marquee Sunday games start at 11am and 1pm.

I would assume they would want to play in London or very close which has a population of just shy of 9 million people which would put it on par with New York which is a large market but I don't know if they could sell out games year in year out. I think it is a novelty for the English fans when the NFL plays games over there. Would they really show up for a foreign sport 8 or 9 times a year and pay the ridiculous prices the NFL charges for tickets? The NFL charges on average 3x more for tickets than premier league games. English soccer fans are as diehard as they come. It is basically an entire league of Bills mafias whose families have rooted for their team for 100 years.

Just to give you an example, one of my close friends who grew up in Alberta Canada and now lives in Vancouver, he's been a Toronto Blue Jay fan all his life.

So, someone from Northumbria would be a London football fan, in my hypothetical. Not only Londoners.
